Quotes about numbed, page 3
After The Rain The Pebbles Too Glisten
after the rain
dews still cling on the leaves
glistening,
the pebbles too, but lifeless
still, my heart feels
sympathy, for those in the cold
immobile, wanting to change
but cannot, vision filled,
all unrealized, anticipations
smothered wishes, choked
ambitions, breathless, dead
nerves, numbed existence,
unfeeling, used now
to the brim, unspoken, desires

A Sparrow's Thoughts.... (Number Four)
we go to war because we're
afraid to lose what we dont own!
because we are fed the propaganda
of the elite, who use the bodies
of our young men and women to
make change!
because we have been numbed by
ignorance, and have been led like
sheep to the slaughter...
because we are afraid to take on
the responsibility of being human!
because by our indifference we allow
ourselves to be!

The Best Of The Basic Things
When the feelings of my hands,
Have numbed.
And that which I wish to touch...
Is left to a memory to me that comes.
I will only have regret left to express,
That I did not take full advantage of life.
But as for now...
I will awaken,
With the acknowledgement...
I have been extremely blessed.
With a consciousness that appreciates,
The best of the basic things with breath to breathe.

The Basic Of Breathing....
he runs
out of luck
whatever he touches
turns into
nothing
she looks at those
who also runs
out of luck
and she smiles
i had it all when
i was young
and still have it
when i have become
older
numbed,
it does not
affect her anymore
she dismisses luck
she needs none of
them,

Chosen Sensations Wished
It is a relief,
To be cut free from accusations.
Or to feel the one despised,
By those unaccustomed to truth.
And leaving that blindside ignored,
To produce preferred fantasies.
It is much easier to observe,
Those who now recognize their own delusions.
With the realization any victimization,
Had been tunneled visioned.
And numbed by chosen sensations wished,
In comforting self inflicted temptations desired.

Granddaughter On My Knee
She sat on my leg till it ached a lot, then moved
where it numbed and squat, gave me red pen
to fill in the drawing I enjoy a lot, we shared
this time together on the floor, as we sat
drawing in a Angelina Ballerina Book
for children, and their grandparents
to colour together, we share a lot
of love together doing this, we
bond future generations to
past in lasing memory's
I love you Granddad
yes, I love you too.

Restraint
the pain that paralysed me at once
made all sensation vanish
all motion stop
and imprisoned my soul
from a body that is half dead
no perception of the surround
won't feel the grass on the field
nor kick the soccer ball
numbed from the hurt
anesthetized from the pain
useless dead legs
now carried in a wheelchair
I need to feel something
anything is better than this nothing
worse than feeling pain
is not feeling at all

Solitary (Stream VI)
Solitary,
Alone, yet crowded in.
Hemmed in.
Penned in.
Encircled.
The flow of the crowd pulls,
Surrounded you surrender,
Are surrendered,
Surrender yourself.
Rendered down.
No longer alone,
Yet lonely.
Left alone.
A lone voice
Crying out,
But ears are deaf,
Eyes blind,
Lips dumb.
No solicitude.
Not touched

The Comfort Of Silence
silence is, and will always be,
comfortable, like a stone, mute to the
changes of the season, and no matter
who takes it, a child or an old man,
the stone keeps the secrets
of their wrongdoings.
the comfort of silence
to the wrongdoer, makes the stone,
the most trusted friend,
no one talks inside the hardness
even if it is broken, into shattered pieces
the stone carries the silence
it is numbed by the centuries
of human oppression.

Outside
Outside a sky of blue is fading in and out of grey
Inside a crimson sky is dawning all throughout the day.
The senses numbed as defences succumb
To dread fear of revolution
Beneath the sun we’ll have our fun
Turning cycles in evolution.
Creation destroys the age old toys
Of wood nymphs, their forest homes
Relations coy fulfil no joy
When I’m chewing on the bone.
Alone! Alone and never grown
In seeking love so far from home.
And here I remain
A King without a throne.
