Quotes about numbed, page 2
Anything!
malnutrated bodies
walking in clouds of dust.
open sores on the face
of the human condition....
yet we sit transfixed,
....with marble dumb stares,
numbed by the drug
...that fills the hollow
with 'i cant do anything about it! '

More Numbed Than Stunned
What's done becomes more offensive,
When the intention does not receive...
The expected attention.
And those who should have been offended,
Have become more numbed than stunned...
By the show of ignorance some will never overcome.

Toasted, Numbed And Roasted
You want to play hopscotch?
That's fine with me.
I'll take a shot of that scotch.
With peppermint schnapps,
And a can of beer.
I've learned that a playing with you,
Requires I need more than a buzz.
I need to be toasted, numbed and roasted.

This Den of Dreams
This den of dreams breeds Art of a decadent nature.
Here it seems romance hath died a death of solitude.
How can justice be done if the righteous are numbed,
Forever dumbed down in submission. Open your eyes,
Allow the light to reveal the skies concealing a truth in hope.

When You Hurt Me
when this happens
i shrug my shoulder
i do not mind
you, who hurt me
for you are too small
to be noticed
i am too numbed
to be hurt
no matter how hard
the blow
i cannot mind you
for you are as small
as a flagellate
floating in the bacterial
river
i am a whale and
i go everywhere.

I Loved You...And You Lied
It simply grieves my heart
To even say goodbye
For every single part
Of me just wants to die
And time has all but ceased
My feelings are all numbed
The pain greatly increased
To this heartbreak I succumb
There seems a lost tomorrow
For our dear Love has died
No, You cannot grasp my sorrow
I loved you... and you lied.

Only Fools Stop Loving
Only fools stop loving
Those utterly unfeeling
Numbed by too many scars
That have sadly turned to hating.
Only fools stop loving
For they have lost awareness
Of life and its true meaning
Of Joy, and Hope, and Goodness.
Only fools stop loving
That is maybe the reason why
This number one fool He was saving
And on the Cross He had to die.

Inside a Crimson Sky
Outside a sky of blue is fading in and out of grey.
Inside a crimson sky is dawning all throughout the day.
My senses are numbed as defences succumb towards a
Dread fear of revolution. The young are running faithless,
Beneath the sun a-shining still – Upon the hill we’ll have our fun.
Turning cycles in evolution – Forever at our own pace –

Recollection Of November
The cool November pavement
And the soft glow of your smile
Amidst the gentle night
The others are doing the same
Wrapped in each others arms
In the moonlight
But the warmth
Of their semi-numbed fingers
Simply cannot compare—
They merely disappear
As you melt into me
And say those three words
Sealed with a kiss
As if to whisper
'This is only the beginning'

Escaping From Your Hands.....
i have escaped from being
one of those marionettes
and so i proclaim that
i
do not need much
i
have enough
of me
and you
and i do not wish to prolong
our
agonies
in the luxuries that have numbed
us into
wood and tin cans
and
scarecrows
