Quotes about hat., page 16
I hate school
I hate school it's a waste of time,
all you do is talk and ryme,
you get loads of homework whats the point,
it teaches you nothing yes nothing is taught,
just teachers yelling at you all day,
oh put on your hat no hat no play,
you get in trouble for no reason at all,
it's for stuff like kicking a ball,
I am about to end this poem,
so listen to me don't go to school,
STAY AT HOME!

Headdress
The headdress of a person is shown,
Maniac is he, the helmet worn shall concern;
A hated element of his mind is confirmed,
Jolliness is not his spirit, nor his face.
He hates those in authority, in weakness is he,
The analysis shall prove him to be a wrong hat
And a wrong hat is called a wrong profession.
There is no humour in his voice,
Their job is more important, but why?
I love the achievement of some men,
Voices from the past engage.

The Value Of Ethics
If a duck quacks and waddles,
Wearing a top hat while quacking...
But without a single fact quacked,
How can this duck hide its back...
With beliefs like that.
If a duck quacks and waddles,
Wearing a top hat while quacking...
And yet,
Disguises as a zebra amongst elephants...
To have others guess,
While sipping on champagne with donkeys...
Can this be considered a mess?
Or does this reflect an acceptance?
Representing the value of ethics.

A passion for a hat
A passion for a hat
Passion is for people who can have passion
Love is for everyone, time and time again
Letters for mistakes can altar a mind
Too much of the same can dull the person's precious time
But what if to find the kind of love that can sun burn your heart
Poison your heart, blacken your heart
What if, what if, why do you call me, why, why, why, hello
Nothing lasts forever, don’t you know meow says the cat so I hit it with a baseball bat
Not for being a cat but for peeing on my favorite hat

Mother Silent
Those days are over now
you and your mother
sitting in the garden
she with her posh lady hat
and you in your cap
to keep the sun
from your balding head
she maybe muttering
but mostly still
and quiet and looking
as best she could
at the birds coming and going
as they picked up bread
now she is still

Wasted Away
A man sits alone at the bar.
His hat pulled over his eyes.
His hands frozen from the summer air.
His throat burning-but he still drinks.
And all his sorrows are swallowed.
Glass by glass
of amber bitterness.
Flashbacks are melted to a blur
of smoke and fear.
A car crash.
Where one survivor walked away
from the battlefield of machines.
Where one survivor walked away
from the shriveled body of one
that Death stole from him.
And so he sat.
His hat low. The shadow
covering the painful history in his eyes
as the glasses of morphine
lulled him to sleep.

That Old Man...
that old man...
wakes up every morning,
greets death with a scowl.
shuffles barefoot to the bathroom,
pees in defiance of the day.
writes a letter to the President,
or one to the editor.
drinks a pot of black coffee,
puts on his hat and his coat.
tipping his hat to god,
takes his dog for a walk.
speaks little, never asks,
for nothing from no one.
sweeps the floor, washes his dishes,
then sits in his chair.
sometimes eats, often not,
and tries not to remember.

Words With the Big Guy(or girl?)
I tell them I’m fine.
I know that’s what they want to hear…
I don’t want to say
“I want God to pick another name.
Dear God…I want to stop holding my breath
I tell them what
they want to hear…
I don’t want to tell them
that I’m so ashamed
Please god…Don’t pick my name from the hat
I tell them the usual
social niceties…
For I know that they don’t…
Want to hear bad news and blame
Please God…just toss me a bone

The Purple Hat Society
Do you look good in purple,
Do you dare wear it?
If you ask this question,
You are not ready for
The purple hat society.
Do you discard a shard
Or mock a crooked crock?
Do you see knaves
When looking at princes?
Then you are not ready for
The purple hat society.
Do you dot all your 'i's
And seal all ziploc bags?
Sorry, you won't
Make it with the purples.
Do you help support
The cosmetic industry

Polly Dibbs
Mrs Dibbs - Polly Dibbs,
Standing at a tub,
Washing other people's clothes -
Rub-Rub-Rub.
Poor, old, skinny arms
White with soapy foam -
At night she takes her shabby hat
And goes off home.
Mrs Dibbs - Polly Dibbs -
Is not very rich.
She goes abroad all day to scrub,
And home at night to stitch.
She wears her shabby hat awry,
Perched on a silly comb;
And people laugh at Polly Dibbs
As she goes home.
Mrs Dibbs - Mother Dibbs -
Growing very old,
