A perfect dance

She danced to her full vigor
She seemed to be in her youth but not minor
It looked as if it was not her profession
I was dance lover and had very good obsession

Stage performances are considered as live art
Your feet may jump and dance with the start
It is really an innovation that makes you energetic
It is good step and always considered as pragmatic

What music and dance has to do in our daily life?
It may provide tonic in war torn strife
It works as magic for isolated world
Relation also turns warm from deep cold

I looked passionately at her every movement
It was bent with elastic quality for the moment
Everybody gazed at her with almost surprise
It made all to praise, move from chair and rise

She invaded me completely and I was day dreaming
Her actions were focusing in mind and beaming
It was marvelous feet with complete excellence
She danced on the stage with complete presence

How can dance influence the minds of many?
Its impact is deep and has large effect to carry
It is real reflection of cultural heritage
It can be performed by anybody at any age

I could see in her artist’s soul with complete dedication
She might have performed it at the time of convocation
Her out look and elegance proved it beyond doubt
Everything was outstanding including her turn about

I could d applaud her from the distance
It was rare gesture for the instance
How many artists may be staging the shows?
It can be seen I n their eyes which glitters and glows

When artist humbly bow before the crowd?
The thunderous applauses c an be heard very loud
The artist then may find the position not vulnerable
All actions may speak larger than life and are answerable

So many prefer to be lost without any fame
The glory may not come at all but invite shame
There may be lot of criticism about their life time work
They may still not show their back or tend to shirk

I thought of many things and sought the answer
I had great difficulty to find the answer for fewer
It is self joy that comes out of music or dance attachment
It may be one of the greatest pride moments

I salute to all those who contribute to the cause
There is different perception and different use
It may be useful only when it is greatly recognized
The stage may be shaken when everybody is thrilled and suprized

Is/Not

Love is not a profession
genteel or otherwise

sex is not dentistry
the slick filling of aches and cavities

you are not my doctor
you are not my cure,

nobody has that
power, you are merely a fellow/traveller

Give up this medical concern,
buttoned, attentive,

permit yourself anger
and permit me mine

which needs neither
your approval nor your suprise

which does not need to be made legal
which is not against a disease

but agaist you,
which does not need to be understood

or washed or cauterized,
which needs instead

to be said and said.
Permit me the present tense.

Sonnet- Woman

Woman, thou art no goddess but human!
A creature of God thro’ Adam and Eve;
With flesh and blood like any other man;
In love and destiny, thou should believe.

Thou art no object of Love and passion;
Like man thou must too feel the hunger pangs;
Thou must seduce the man by tradition;
Let not thine teeth turn into poison-fangs!

Woman, love-making's not thine profession;
Labour, thou must to deliver children;
Life is not fun, mere frolic and fashion;
Let not the Serpent veer thee from Heaven.
Woman, thy role on earth is so divine;
Thou must not be the vice for men like wine.

Donkey Knows, Man Not

Even a donkey knows well
what the skin is
nothing but simply the cover to make tight
flesh and blood together encircling bones

so whatever may its be colour
black brown or white
what differs when flesh comes out
by sudden wound

even a donkey could differentiate
the compassion of man and the cruelty of wilds
but man has intelligence and wisdom
man is more powerful from other animals
even man can use others as a pet or patron
so colour sometimes become the reason of
hate and separation....

nice the skin-grammer Mr. Great
you have adopted not to be an ass
so destiny is clear
when men will be vanished one day
animal will dominate the earth again
perhaps not so far....

Professional Discontent

Some chose the farm but gave it up with ease,
As it didn't yield the fruits of labour hard,
When changes came in sun, rain, soil and wind,
And nature's furies ruined what escaped!

Some chose a profession, bit white-collared,
And fleeced their clients, customers, patients,
Earning huge sums in easy ways for long,
But gave it through dissatisfaction!

Some chose to be a man, woman of God,
And bounties poured in abundance by grace,
Turned mercenary from missionary,
And left the fold from Shepherd as plain sheep!

No one seems content with one's profession!
No one is satisfied with divine gifts;
No one lives as per Scriptural guidance;
All want to live their earthly life with ease!

Does man really pine to see God's face?
Do men prefer the after-life o'er life?
Even the pious are victims of greed!
Man's troubles escalate when God's forgot!

It matters not what profession you choose!
You got to be dedicated, righteous;
And God rewards each one equally well!
Earthly inequality is man-wrought!

Being A Poet

being a poet
is not an ambition

it is ironic
that i do poetry and

yet i do not want
to be called a poet

nor be identified with
any movement in poetry

nor take the challenge and opportunity
of being crowned by laurel leaves

and be dragged on the stage of
an island of light focusing my head and body

and they shall all clap and say
this is the poet, this is our poet

not in the figment of my imagination
not an ambition not a profession not a career in the field of literature
to be a poet on a certain degree

you see, i live in a crowded universe
i am a fish in the sea of people

and i, never imagine once in my whole life
that i will be swimming so meaninglessly in the corridors

of this vast ocean of men and mice and snakes
and goats and pigs and eagles

poetry is what i do but i am not a poet
this poet, that poet
their poet

the reason is here inside my heart
this is my place &
this is my only chance to be alone

to be myself to be human again for out there
i, we, you have become pillars
and dams.and walls and continental shelves

it is only here in this spot
that i become my island

The mind projects it.

I believe in God for others do
And for I was taught so as a child.
That belief has been handed down.
Generation after generation.

Believing in God will not alter
My life nor its destiny either.
Ignoring God makes no difference.
God exists as the mind projects it.

Knock By Mocking

Knock by mocking.
The clock will not stop.
Intimidate by shocking.
Your destiny becomes the one that's blocked.

Reduce those to tears and fears.
Make it clear the greatness of your power.
And every hour the ticking of the tock that is heard...
It is you that becomes devoured!

Eternity

Together forever,
we shall never be,
eternity as we know,
will come to an end,
in the after life
together as one...

You and I, worlds apart,
attracted by the forces of Love,
'Why? ' - I ask, 'Is it you? '
'And not another? '
'Why me? ',
'And not another? '...

Tis fate you say
Destiny i believe...

But the others...
Tis disastrous they believe
Prepostrous thers...

But you and me
forever
Eternity!

I Am Snow

I am Snow, I am
I am cold, be damned
I am silent long
I am silent song

I am quiet like
Falling snow at night
I am peaceful...yes
Here on Earth as guest

I am often random
Snowflake not in tandem
Different drummers beat
Destiny to meet

I am beauty wasted
Snowflake seldom tasted
Changing always, ever
Quirky winter weather

I am sometime Blizzard
Hostile, weak-willed wizard
Havoc in my wake
Causing souls to shake

I am Snow I am
I can grow, I can
Sky of beauty white
Touching Heaven's light

All Else is Shadow

Dear, “if you read these lines remember not
the hand that writ”, by Destiny propelled,
for many venture, most are soon forgot,
by Chance or choice to Lethe swift expelled.
The moving finger, spellbound, writes, impelled
to tell the world, - its jealous eyes to dot, -
of one whose talents true cannot be spelled,
all else is shadow, bolt – Time flies – soon shot.
“Age cannot wither, nor can custom stale
her infinite” unique, – both vain and sot
is who would dare to circumscribe her tale.
All praise is superficial and must fail
to sway the heart which on Love’s wind would sail.

Oil rain in Louisiana

earlier this morning
chaos was seen
showering
the greed of men
oil raining down on
a louisiana town

greed is good
give us more
corporate bank accounts
will soar
more capital
to educate the mass
exactly
how fast
can we change
the liquid to gas
and blow ourselves up
apparently
not fast enough

some of the
lighter crude oil
can evaporate
from the soil
into the water cycle
i'm told
and increase profits
ten-fold

why not extend
the invitation
of manifest destiny
to every nation
falling black heaven
for free

Descent

Falling victim from neglect
Designed thoughts and intellect
Forgotten and displaced
The crux of my dismay

I feel nothing
I am nothing
I feel nothing
Nothing

How deep I descend?
Until I reach my end?
How deep I descend?
Deeper into this abyss

Weighted down and sinking fast
Life did not offer me
More than false destiny

I feel nothing
I am nothing
I feel nothing
Nothing

How deep I descend?
Until I reach my end?
How deep I descend?

I am nothing
I feel nothing
I am nothing
I feel nothing
Nothing
Nothing...

How deep I descend?
Until I reach my end?
How deep I descend?

Me & You

(skip ewing/ray herndon)
Ordinary no, really dont think so
Not a love this true
Common destiny
We were meant to be
Me and you
Like a perfect scene from a movie screen
Where every dream comes true
Suited perfectly for eternity
Me and you
Every day, I need you even more
At the nighttime too
Theres no way
I could ever let you go
Even if I wanted to
Every day I live
I try my best to give
All I have to you
I thank the stars above
That we share this love me and you
Every day, I need you even more
At the nighttime too
Theres no way
I could ever let you go
Even if I wanted to
Ordinary no, I really dont think so
Just a precious few
Ever make it last
Get as lucky as
Me and you
Me and you

No Matter What You Think Of Me

No matter what you think of me,
Will not change the course of my destiny.
Nor will the anguish of accomplishing my tasks...
On this path.
Where obstacles remain.
Where they for me,
Seem to last.
To sustain each day I grasp and pass.

Perhaps if I sought your approval,
I could gain some rest from that rejection.
Your lack of acceptance,
Would enhance my own dejection.

But no matter what you think of me,
Will not change my destiny.
I've toiled on this journey too long.
And what you perceive for me to be wrong...
Will not affect my insight.
I have struggled to maintain it.
With a faith that has kept me strong!
Days long and sleepless nights.

And no matter what you think of me...
There have been others who have thought far worse.
God had placed them on my path,
First!
To rehearse any emotions felt.
To conquer and to rid.
Knowing too well how now they must be dealt!
Alone...
Within me.
And without the thought of seeking outside approval.
From either open or closed eyelids.
Mine, yours or others.
