Violent Blue
Stars twinkled bright
on descending twilight
gentle zephyr blew
I dance to you
upon crippled feet
Lips stitched shut
I cannot speak
Forgotten vows
and dead devotions
Do I really need to write
a ballad of the whore
that kept her legs open
Muscles tense
as common sense
hustles leaving lines
illogical unheard explanations
As I battle my thoughts
and come to grips
Mental terms
Penned concerns
Words strike
Reality burned
Anger is today's mood
I fight too pretty
and I love too ugly
Men are shit
and girls are icky
Abandoned
damned
to be alone
Cold metal
