Yes I am dark and black,
its none of your business,
don’t fill your heart with hatred,
it is my one and only destiny,
so don’t wanna be my enemy.
Yes I am dark and black,
it is my fate and race,
I’m here to run this pilgrim race,
I’m hot and real, not another fake,
so get used to my deep black face.
Yes I am dark and black,
That’s what I am, I love it so,
I’m not ashamed, don’t be confused,
It’s not for sale keep moving on,
I’m black and proud, all my days.
Yes I am dark and black,
call it whatever you want,
equate me with all your evil and demons,
but excuse me your personal pains and agony,
for darkness and blackness ain’t the same thing.
