In The Company Of Women

Glass in hand she shouts
Ladies night out tonight!
Here's where the fun begins
Not a single man in sight
Drinks are all on me she smiles
Enough of all the doom and gloom!
Drunken smirks with sleepy eyes
Not a single male in the room
In The Company Of Women
As the music plays loud in my ears
I see a two women share a long kiss
The night is young and full of life
So glad to have been a part of this
Asked to dance I can't resist so
The smell of perfume in the air
Surely the time is running away now
But nobody seems to even care
In The Company Of Women

Oh, yes, it's ladies night
and the feeling's right
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
Oh, what a night
Girls, ya'll got one
A night that's special everywhere
From New York to Hollywood
It's ladies night, and girl, that feeling's good
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
and the feeling's right
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
Oh, what a night
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
and the feeling's right
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
Oh, what a night
On disco nights, your names will be seen
You can fulfill all your dreams
A party here, a party there....everywhere
This is your night, baby,
You got to be there
This is your night tonight
Everything's gonna be allright
This is your night tonight
Everything's gonna be allright
This is your night tonight
And everything is gonna be allright
This is your night tonight.....whew
Owwwww.
Girls, ya'll got one
A night that's special everywhere
From New York to Hollywood
It's late at night, and girl, that feeling's good
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
And the feeling's right
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
Oh, what a night
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
And the feeling's right

Oh, yes, it's ladies night
And the feeling's right

And the feeling's right
Oh, yes, it's ladies night
Oh, what a night!!!!!!!

Ladies Night (Treat Her Like Heaven)

Uh, yeah, uh huh
Go ladies, go ladies
Go ladies, go ladies
Go ladies, go ladies
Go ladies, go ladies
Uh, woo!
She's like the sun shining bright
A romantic moonlight
Like white clouds and blue skies
She's got diamonds in her eyes
My rainbow after the rain
She's my joy after the pain
Far away paradise
Make you wanna touch the sky
Like the highest mountain peak
As the ocean goes deep...
I wanna dance with that woman, yeah
Dance with that woman, yeah
I wanna dance with that woman, yeah
I'm gonna...
Treat her like heaven (yeah)
Treat her like heaven (yeah)
Treat her like heaven (yeah)
Treat her like heaven (yeah)
Make her smile (yeah)
Keep her happy (yeah)
Take her stepping (yeah)
Yeah (yeah) oh yeah
She's like the greatest waterfalls
On Christmas she's Miss Santa Claus
Just like grandma's apple pie
Girl you're all the reasons why
She's a comforter and friend
I tell you she's that peace within
She's the lover in my home
She's the strength when I'm not strong
Every day my valentine
I'm so glad heaven made her mine...
I wanna dance with that woman, yeah
Dance with that woman, yeah
I wanna dance with that woman, yeah
I'm gonna...
Treat her like heaven (yeah)
Treat her like heaven (yeah)
Treat her like heaven (yeah)
Treat her like heaven (yeah)

Sometimes we forget what the (yeah)
Woman means to us (oh)
That's why I want ladies night (oh yeah)
To show the ladies some love (yeah)
So fellas stand on your feet (stand up yeah)

And begin to dance, yes

The night is full of brown Ratel armoured cars

The night is full of brown Ratel armoured cars
and Olifant tanks
that drives and rolls in on the ground
and salvos from rocket launching trucks
that draws arcs
and in the distance howitzer canon reports
in volleys
and when a light flare suddenly falls
it is as if the bushes are teeming
with enemy tanks and armoured cars
just where I look
and it looks
like the day of judgement.

Projectiles find their targets
and canister-shot comes down exploding thundering
and it’s an apocalyptic night
for some of the enemy
who are burning,
scorched and blown to smithereens in their armour
and when a tank
suddenly appears out of the bushes
there is a hell of a red thunderclap
as a shot from another Ratel hits it deadly
and I realize that even here
a person’s time is measured out
and around me there are fireworks
like stars falling from the sky
while we stop and aim
the following killing shot.

Comes The Night Of My Life

comes now the night of my life
a very dark night

the sound of the cat
looking for a mate

someone in heat
the dogs howl in the middle

of the road some footsteps
coming to the house

by the window
i show my sorrow

i talk about tomorrow
to the moon that somehow

pretends to listen
on the other hand you may be right

i pretend the moon is here
comes now the darkest night

how can a moon be a reality?
how can you be here with me?

to survive please understand
lying to myself is much fun

Consalvo

Approaching now the end of his abode
On earth, Consalvo lay; complaining once,
Of his hard fate, but now quite reconciled,
When, in the midst of his fifth lustre, o'er
His head oblivion, so longed-for, hung.
As for some time, so, on his dying day,
He lay, abandoned by his dearest friends:
For in the world, few friends to _him_ will cling,
Who shows that he is weary of the world.
Yet _she_ was at his side, by pity led,
In his lone wretchedness to comfort him,
Who was alone and ever in his thought;
Elvira, for her loveliness renowned;
And knowing well her power; that a look,
A single sweet and gracious word from _her_,
A thousand-fold repeated in the heart,
Devoted, of her hapless lover, still
His consolation and support had been,
Although no word of love had she from him
E'er heard. For ever in his soul the power
Of great desire had been rebuked and crushed
By sovereign fear. So great a child and slave
Had he become, through his excess of love!
But death at last the cruel silence broke;
For being by sure signs convinced, that now
The day of his deliverance had come,
Her white hand taking, as she was about
To leave, and gently pressing it, he said:
'Thou goest; it is time for thee to go;
Farewell, Elvira! I shall never see
Thee more; too well I know it; so, farewell!
I thank thee for thy gentle sympathy,
So far as my poor lips my thanks can speak.
_He_ will reward thee, who alone has power,
If heaven e'er rewards the merciful.'
Pale turned the fair one at these words; a sigh
Her bosom heaved; for e'en a stranger's heart
A throb responsive feels, when she departs,
And says farewell forever. Fain would she
Have contradicted him, the near approach
Of fate concealing from the dying man.
But he, her thought anticipating, said:
'Ah, much desired, as well thou knowest, death,
Much prayed for, and not dreaded, comes to me;
Nay, joyful seems to me this fatal day,
Save for the thought of losing thee forever;
Alas, forever do I part from thee!
In saying this my heart is rent in twain.
Those eyes I shall no more behold, nor hear
Thy voice. But, O Elvira, say, before
Thou leavest me forever, wilt thou not
One kiss bestow? A single kiss, in all
My life? A favor asked, who can deny
Unto a dying man? Of the sweet gift
I ne'er can boast, so near my end, whose lips
To-day will by a stranger's hand be closed
Forever.' Saying this, with a deep sigh,
Her hand beloved he with his cold lips pressed.

The lovely woman stood irresolute,
And thoughtful, for a moment, with her look,
In which a thousand charms were radiant,
Intent on that of the unhappy man,
Where the last tear was glittering. Nor would
Her heart permit her to refuse with scorn
His wish, and by refusal, make more sad
The sad farewell; but she compassion took
Upon his love, which she had known so long;
And that celestial face, that mouth, which he
So long had coveted, which had, for years,
The burden been of all his dreams and sighs,
Close bringing unto his, so sad and wan,
Discolored by his mortal agony,
Kiss after kiss, all goodness, with a look
Of deep compassion, on the trembling lips
Of the enraptured lover she impressed.

What didst thou then become? How in thy eyes
Appeared life, death, and all thy suffering,
Consalvo, in thy flight now pausing? He
The hand, which still he held, of his beloved
Elvira, placing on his heart, whose last
Pulsations love with death was sharing, said:
'Elvira, my Elvira, am I still
On earth? Those lips, were they thy lips? O, say!
And do I press thy hand? Alas, it seems
A dead man's vision, or a dream, or thing
Incredible! How much, Elvira, O,
How much I owe to death! Long has my love
Been known to thee, and unto others, for
True love cannot be hidden on the earth.
Too manifest it was to thee, in looks,
In acts, in my unhappy countenance,
But never in my words. For then, and now,
Forever would the passion infinite,
That rules my heart, be silent, had not death
With courage filled it. I shall die content;
Henceforth, with destiny, no more regret
That I e'er saw the light. I have not lived
In vain, now that my lips have been allowed
Thy lips to press. Nay, happy I esteem
My lot. Two precious things the world still gives
To mortals, Love and Death. To one, heaven guides
Me now, in youth; and in the other, I
Am fortunate. Ah, hadst thou once, but once,
Responded to my long-enduring love,
To my changed eyes this earth for evermore
Had been transformed into a Paradise.
E'en to old age, detestable old age,
Could I have been resigned and reconciled.
To bear its heavy load, the memory
Of one transcendent moment had sufficed,
When I was happier than the happiest,
But, ah, such bliss supreme the envious gods
To earthly natures ne'er have given! Love
In such excess ne'er leads to happiness.
And yet, thy love to win, I would have borne
The tortures of the executioner;
Have faced the rack and fagot, dauntlessly;
Would from thy loving arms have rushed into
The fearful flames of hell, with cheerfulness.

'Elvira, O Elvira, happy he,
Beyond all mortal happiness, on whom
Thou dost the smile of love bestow! And next
Is he, who can lay down his life for thee!
It _is_ permitted, it is not a dream,
As I, alas, have always fancied it,
To man, on earth true happiness to find.
I knew it well, the day I looked on thee.
That look to me, indeed, has fatal been:
And yet, I could not bring myself, midst all
My sufferings, that cruel day to blame.

'Now live, Elvira, happy, and adorn
The world with thy fair countenance. None e'er
Will love thee as I loved thee. Such a love
Will ne'er be seen on earth. How much, alas,
How long a time by poor Consalvo hast
Thou been with sighs and bitter tears invoked!
How, when I heard thy name, have I turned pale!
How have I trembled, and been sick at heart,
As timidly thy threshold I approached,
At that angelic voice, at sight of that
Fair brow, I, who now tremble not at death!
But breath and life no longer will respond
Unto the voice of love. The time has passed;
Nor can I e'er this happy day recall.
Farewell, Elvira! With its vital spark
Thy image so beloved is from my heart
Forever fading. Oh, farewell! If this,
My love offend thee not, to-morrow eve
One sigh wilt thou bestow upon my bier.'
He ceased; and soon he lost his consciousness:
Ere evening came, his first, his only day
Of happiness had faded from his sight.

Another Night Of My Life Is Passing

ANOTHER NIGHT OF MY LIFE IS PASSING

Another night of my life is passing
How many more will be left?
And is it all for nothing –
Anyway?
A long unending night
Of darkness and nonexistence?

All I am
Is a little man
writing a poem.

G-d of the Light
And the night
Save me
and those I love.

Welcome To The Show

The night is cool and young
Lady gypsy gazes into the ball
Faires dressed in fancy colours
The man who walks sky tall
Welcome To The Show!
Jesters laugh and play games
Young ladies dance the night on
Music plays loud and clear
The world's a stage we go along
Welcome To The Show!
Tricks, dance, and acted plays
Do our very best to entertain
Applause is giving in respect
Smile after smile in exchange
Welcome To The Show!

What a Beauty-Full Life

Beauty is in flowers, and the petals
Bathing in the early morning dew

Beauty is in the eyes of a father
When his son takes the first step

Beauty is on the face of a baby,
Sleeping in mother's lap

Beauty is in freedom,
When you fly high on the wings of hope

Beauty is in the expressions of a poor man
When he gets food after eternity

Beauty is in the pride of a teacher
When his student supersedes

Beauty is in the compassion of a devotee
When he finds solace

Beauty is in the innocence of a child
When he asks you questions

Beauty is in the sips of laughter,
You share with your friends

Beauty is in the springs of desire
that arrive after a prolonged autumn

Beauty is in the cry of a woman,
Whose womb succeeds

Beauty is in the silence,
When you don't speak, and you say a lot

Beauty is in the warmth of passion
That builds around the arms of a lover

Beauty is when those small fights,
End with tears of joy

Beauty is when the first raindrop,
Kisses your cheek

Beauty is in perseverance,
When the world's showing off

Beauty is in the enigma,
When everything's certain

Beauty is in a poem,
Where poetry meets prose

Beauty is in little chunks of life,
Filled with joys and sorrows

Beauty is in your eyes,
your heart, and in every single breath

Beauty is when you say,
"What a Beauty-Full Life..."

An Enemy Within

With stern haughty and piercing glance upon the surrounding
He started each day with an inner contempt, despise to all rounding
As if he said to himself: 'The wanderings of this most intrigue Universe
Teach me the nothingness of all things, the insignificance of any adverse'
As if creation could not have happened or creep or be
Beyond his existence; the horizon where his eye can see

He spoke of beauty and humanity, yet dull was his soul
To see any divinity in growing lush grass
Or life in solid dead stones; spirit in the air
He adored his look and he loved looking at the glass
When he smoothed his chin and sleek his waning hair
And said the world should have been created at different goal

with his students his crystal Narcissism soared
As he spoke of virtue and math, never of Gods and kind
He carried his speech, but to vain proclaims of spirit dull and soured
As in his ideas and philosophy he stood aloof from other minds
Devolving his rebuke in a cold drawl
with dissidents often he exchanged barbs and drawing brawl

At rare times when he spoke to me
'You are so full of misfortune and black misery
Were it not better for you not to be'
Then inside me to the harsh voice I said:
'Let me not cast myself by these words to endless shade
This world is full of wonders and hope so wonderfully made'

Yet, still today it is a fearful thing to glance
Back on the gloom of childhood miss spent in torture of years
To deal with shadowy forms of thrusted vain guilt in constant dance
These dreads, these thousands of repelling fears
The 'vices' attached to my life of growth and rise
Portrait in shape so vivid yet untrue
And no one beam of hope to tell the truth would break through
To cheer a child young widening eyes

He is remembered with lips depressed as he was coward and meek
Himself into others and into himself he constantly sold
Upon his vanity he himself did feed
Aloof, introvert so dispassionate to other feeling so stark cold
And other than his form of imposing creed
With well chiseled features and doctrine clear and sleek

Ode To The Unborn

beggers, drunks, druggies howl in the night
young girls mind scream in fright
secrets from families pure and blue
showing no care
though they never knew

young girls faced with dread
trying to be free
she'd rather be dead
dark shadows cast over her orgasmic state
facing now only an ugly fate

Song Of The Harp

Angel play upon your harp.
Play it soft and clear.
If I listen long enough
maybe I will hear

all the tones that vibrate,
reaching through the spheres.
Angel play upon your harp
sweet music for my ears.

All the sounds that reach our young
are not too heavenly.
Their music is just so much noise,
I know it cannot be

music that an angel plays,
music that is sweet.
All they seem to want is
a steady throbbing beat.

Angel play upon your harp.
Play it night and day.
Maybe they might listen
to the silken tones you play.

Momentous Memories And More...

Contained within my very soul
Lay memories of you.
In fact, they stay, beyond control,
Because my love is true...
I think of you and then a smile
Appears upon my face.
A kiss or two can quite beguile
And thus they leave their trace...
Pressed close we touched and lingered still,
Eyes closed, engrossed, held fast...
I prayed, that if it were God’s will,
Our love would always last.
No wonder, then, when we’re apart,
I reminisce again
And think myself, now hand-on-heart,
The luckiest of men...
If only life were one long kiss
Expressed with ecstasy...
Life would be heaven! Beauty! Bliss!
True love! Just you and me...

China Grove

Tom johnston
When the sun comes up on a sleepy little town
Down around san antone
And the folks are risin for another day
round about their homes
The people of the town are strange
And theyre proud of where they came
Well, youre talkin bout china grove
Oh, china grove
Well, the preacher and the teacher
Lord, theyre a caution
They are the talk of the town
When the gossip gets to flyin
And they aint lyin
When the sun goes fallin down
They say that the fathers insane
And dear missus perkins a game
Were talkin bout the china grove
Oh, china grove
But every day theres a new thing comin
The ways of an oriental view
The sheriff and his buddies
With their samurai swords
You can even hear the music at night
And though its a part of the lone star state
People dont seem to care
They just keep on lookin to the east
Talkin bout the china grove
Oh, china grove

Public Felodese

Can you hear his battle scream
When he's gone no one will miss
When he dies no one will cry
He reach's for the light
That he cannot behold
His anger is not controlled
Kiss your breath away
You believe in nothing
You reopen your scars
You relive the horrors
They're all on the outside looking in
Wishing you'd just go away
And stop making them act like they care
If you live or die
Dont you wish that you could die
And have everyone in the world bawl
Just for you, you want attention
You make false lies, impared judgements
You believe in nothing, live for nothing
Dont leave this world that you hate
Because shes waiting for you
She watch's the stars at night
The same stars you watch
She'll take your hand and send you flying
Show you love like you never knew
Theres so much more in you
She'll take your broken self
And fix it perfect with just one kiss
Can't live life without a little drama
Cant hide from your own emotion
Cant hate the ones you love
Cant love the ones you hate
Only time will tell, what you really are

Botany Bay Eclogues 02 - Elinor

(Time, Morning. Scene, the Shore.)

Once more to daily toil--once more to wear
The weeds of infamy--from every joy
The heart can feel excluded, I arise
Worn out and faint with unremitting woe;
And once again with wearied steps I trace
The hollow-sounding shore. The swelling waves
Gleam to the morning sun, and dazzle o'er
With many a splendid hue the breezy strand.
Oh there was once a time when ELINOR
Gazed on thy opening beam with joyous eye
Undimm'd by guilt and grief! when her full soul
Felt thy mild radiance, and the rising day
Waked but to pleasure! on thy sea-girt verge
Oft England! have my evening steps stole on,
Oft have mine eyes surveyed the blue expanse,
And mark'd the wild wind swell the ruffled surge,
And seen the upheaved billows bosomed rage
Rush on the rock; and then my timid soul
Shrunk at the perils of the boundless deep,
And heaved a sigh for suffering mariners.
Ah! little deeming I myself was doom'd.
To tempt the perils of the boundless deep,
An Outcast--unbeloved and unbewail'd.

Why stern Remembrance! must thine iron hand
Harrow my soul? why calls thy cruel power
The fields of England to my exil'd eyes,
The joys which once were mine? even now I see
The lowly lovely dwelling! even now
Behold the woodbine clasping its white walls
And hear the fearless red-breasts chirp around
To ask their morning meal:--for I was wont
With friendly band to give their morning meal,
Was wont to love their song, when lingering morn
Streak'd o'er the chilly landskip the dim light,
And thro' the open'd lattice hung my head
To view the snow-drop's bud: and thence at eve
When mildly fading sunk the summer sun,
Oft have I loved to mark the rook's slow course
And hear his hollow croak, what time he sought
The church-yard elm, whose wide-embowering boughs
Full foliaged, half conceal'd the house of God.
There, my dead father! often have I heard
Thy hallowed voice explain the wonderous works
Of Heaven to sinful man. Ah! little deem'd
Thy virtuous bosom, that thy shameless child
So soon should spurn the lesson! sink the slave
Of Vice and Infamy! the hireling prey
Of brutal appetite! at length worn out
With famine, and the avenging scourge of guilt,
Should dare dishonesty--yet dread to die!

Welcome ye savage lands, ye barbarous climes,
Where angry England sends her outcast sons--
I hail your joyless shores! my weary bark
Long tempest-tost on Life's inclement sea,
Here hails her haven! welcomes the drear scene,
The marshy plain, the briar-entangled wood,
And all the perils of a world unknown.
For Elinor has nothing new to fear
From fickle Fortune! all her rankling shafts
Barb'd with disgrace, and venom'd with disease.
Have pierced my bosom, and the dart of death
Has lost its terrors to a wretch like me.

Welcome ye marshy heaths! ye pathless woods,
Where the rude native rests his wearied frame
Beneath the sheltering shade; where, when the storm,
As rough and bleak it rolls along the sky,
Benumbs his naked limbs, he flies to seek
The dripping shelter. Welcome ye wild plains
Unbroken by the plough, undelv'd by hand
Of patient rustic; where for lowing herds,
And for the music of the bleating flocks,
Alone is heard the kangaroo's sad note
Deepening in distance. Welcome ye rude climes,
The realm of Nature! for as yet unknown
The crimes and comforts of luxurious life,
Nature benignly gives to all enough,
Denies to all a superfluity,
What tho' the garb of infamy I wear,
Tho' day by day along the echoing beach
I cull the wave-worn shells, yet day by day
I earn in honesty my frugal food,
And lay me down at night to calm repose.
No more condemn'd the mercenary tool
Of brutal lust, while heaves the indignant heart
With Virtue's stiffled sigh, to fold my arms
Round the rank felon, and for daily bread
To hug contagion to my poison'd breast;
On these wild shores Repentance' saviour hand
Shall probe my secret soul, shall cleanse its wounds
And fit the faithful penitent for Heaven.

Into The Circle Of Life, Let Us All Dance...

come, come into the circle of life
let us dance, into the circle of life
let us dance, like the circling of the earth
come, come, have no fear, let us dance to the dance of life

do not fear to die,

i was once a slug
and a child caught me
and played with me
and crushed me

i died and then i became a bird
and i fly the skies and then a child caught me with his sling
and put me in a cage
and then i died

and then i became a man
and i walk the earth and journeyed to its corners
and got caught in the war and i was shot in the head

and then i live again
much greater than the past
higher than what i was....

so come, come into the circle of life
let us all dance, dance, into the circle of this life
not lesser than the past
come, come, have no fear, my love, let us dance gently into the dance of life

have no fear, rise above what you were once.
