Im Addicted

1, 2, 3, 4!
Look around this dirty town
Drink it up till we fall down
Dont want to live forever this way
But its gonna have to do for today
Oh, Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Before that hurried call
I had my back against the wall
No, dont want to be shown
Go out and learn your own
Oh, Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
1, 2, 3, 4!
Before that hurried call
I had my back against the wall
No, dont want to be shown
Go out and learn your own
Oh, Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be
Im addicted - as I want to be

Addicted To Love

Your lights are on, but youre not home
Your mind is not your own
Your heart sweats, your body shakes
Another kiss is what it takes
You cant sleep, you cant eat
Theres no doubt, youre in deep
Your throat is tight, you cant breathe
Another kiss is all you need
Whoa, you like to think that youre immune to the stuff, oh
Yeah
Its closer to the truth to say you cant get enough, you
Know youre
Gonna have to face it, youre addicted to love
You see the signs, but you cant read
Youre runnin at a different speed
You heart beats in double time
Another kiss and youll be mine, a one track mind
You cant be saved
Oblivion is all you crave
If theres some left for you
You dont mind if you do
Whoa, you like to think that youre immune to the stuff, oh
Yeah
Its closer to the truth to say you cant get enough, you
Know youre
Gonna have to face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Guitar solo (once around)
Your lights are on, but youre not home
Your will is not your own
Youre heart sweats and teeth grind
Another kiss and youll be mine
Whoa, you like to think that youre immune to the stuff, oh
Yeah
Its closer to the truth to say you cant get enough, you
Know youre
Gonna have to face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love
Might as well face it, youre addicted to love

The Rosciad

Unknowing and unknown, the hardy Muse
Boldly defies all mean and partial views;
With honest freedom plays the critic's part,
And praises, as she censures, from the heart.

Roscius deceased, each high aspiring player
Push'd all his interest for the vacant chair.
The buskin'd heroes of the mimic stage
No longer whine in love, and rant in rage;
The monarch quits his throne, and condescends
Humbly to court the favour of his friends;
For pity's sake tells undeserved mishaps,
And, their applause to gain, recounts his claps.
Thus the victorious chiefs of ancient Rome,
To win the mob, a suppliant's form assume;
In pompous strain fight o'er the extinguish'd war,
And show where honour bled in every scar.
But though bare merit might in Rome appear
The strongest plea for favour, 'tis not here;
We form our judgment in another way;
And they will best succeed, who best can pay:
Those who would gain the votes of British tribes,
Must add to force of merit, force of bribes.
What can an actor give? In every age
Cash hath been rudely banish'd from the stage;
Monarchs themselves, to grief of every player,
Appear as often as their image there:
They can't, like candidate for other seat,
Pour seas of wine, and mountains raise of meat.
Wine! they could bribe you with the world as soon,
And of 'Roast Beef,' they only know the tune:
But what they have they give; could Clive do more,
Though for each million he had brought home four?
Shuter keeps open house at Southwark fair,
And hopes the friends of humour will be there;
In Smithfield, Yates prepares the rival treat
For those who laughter love, instead of meat;
Foote, at Old House,--for even Foote will be,
In self-conceit, an actor,--bribes with tea;
Which Wilkinson at second-hand receives,
And at the New, pours water on the leaves.
The town divided, each runs several ways,
As passion, humour, interest, party sways.
Things of no moment, colour of the hair,
Shape of a leg, complexion brown or fair,
A dress well chosen, or a patch misplaced,
Conciliate favour, or create distaste.
From galleries loud peals of laughter roll,
And thunder Shuter's praises; he's so droll.
Embox'd, the ladies must have something smart,

Get Off The Stage

Oh, you silly old man
You silly old man
Youre making a fool of yourself
So get off the stage
You silly old man
In your misguided trousers
With your mascara and your fender guitar
And you think you can arouse us ?
But the song that you just sang
It sounds exactly like the last one
And the next one
I bet you it will sound
Like this one
Downstage, and offstage
Dont you feel all run in ?
And do you wonder when they will take it away ?
This is your final fling
But then applause ran high
But for the patience of the ones behind you
As a verse drags on like a month drags on
Its very short, but it seems very long
And the song that you just sang
It sounds exactly like the last one
And the next one
I bet you it will sound
Like this one
So, get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
And when we get down off of the stage
Please stay off the stage - all day !
Get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
And when weve had our money back
Then Id like your back in plaster
Oh, I know that you say
How age has no meaning
Oh, but here is your audience now
And theyre screaming :
Get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
Because Ive given you enough of my time
And the money that wasnt even mine
Have you seen yourself recently ?
Oh, get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
For whom, oh ...
For whom, oh ...
For whom, oh ...
For whom, oh ...
Get off the stage

Child Molester

Note- I wanted to write something something darker and deeper then what I currently have been.

This is what came out.

Dark Rewrite of Britney Spear's Womanizer

Storyline-One woman takes the stand that no one else will to save her street from the unthinkable

Perverted neighbor
I know where you're from
I think it's best you get your twisted... going
Got more then just a clue what you're up to
You can play squeaky clean tp all the others gathered here
But I know what you really are, what you really are sickie

Look at you
Tryin' to act so on the up and up
Sickie, you
Got everyone else here fooled
But not me, oh no, not me
Fakin' like deep down you're a good one
Let's just lay our cards out on the table
Get it all out now
Call 'em like we both know 'em

Child molester, child-child molester
You're a child molester
Oh, child molester, oh you're a child molester, sickie
You-you know-you know you are
You-you know-you know you are
Child molester, child molester, child molester

Sicko, don't try stage that front
Oh no, no, not with me
Cos I know just-just what you are, ah, ah, what you are
Sicko, don't try to stage that front
Oh no, no, not with me
Cos I know just-just what you are, ah, ah, what you are
(Spoken) You got some kind of twisted game goin'
You got them all believin' you're so charmin'
But I won't let you keep on doin' it
You child molester

Sicko, don't try stage that front
Oh no, no, not with me
Cos I know just-just what you are, ah, ah, what you are
Sicko, don't try to stage that front
Oh no, no, not with me
Cos I know just-just what you are, ah, ah, what you are
(Spoken) You say I'm crazy

Love For Sale

If you walk in the red light at night
In the black velvet hour
If you look you will see their delight
Theyre the purest of flowers
Theyve got love for sale
The money they earn when everybody wants them
Money for pleasure, pleasure and pain
Theyve got love for sale
Money and sex, addicted to drugs
Pleasure and pain c together they walk
Money and sex, addicted to drugs
Pleasure and pain c together they walk
What they get is addicted to drugs
To ease all their sorrows
What they get is addicted to drugs
To ease all their sorrows
Theyve got love for sale
The money they earn when everybody wants them
Money for pleasure, pleasure and pain
Theyve got love for sale
Illusions for your mind
They are just illusions for your mind...
Theyve got love for sale
The money they earn when everybody wants them
Money for pleasure, pleasure and pain
Theyve got love for sale
Money and sex, addicted to drugs
Pleasure and pain c together they walk
Money and sex, addicted to drugs
Pleasure and pain c together they walk

Have I told you how good
it feels to be me when Im in you
I can only stay clean when you are around
dont let me fall oh no
If I close my eyes forever
would it ease the pain could I breathe again
may beIm addicted Im out of control
but your the drug that keeps me from dying
maybe Im a liar but all I really know
is your the only reason Im trying
Im wasting away I made a million mistakes
am I too late oh yeah
oh this is torn in my head and it rays on my bed
when your not here
Im not afraid of dying
but I am afraid of loosing you
may beIm addicted Im out of control
but your the drug that keeps me from dying
maybe Im a liar but all I really know
is your the only reason Im trying
When youre lying next to me
love is flowing through to me oh its beautiful
oh yeah everything is clear to me until I hit reality
and I lose it all I lose it all I lose it all
Cause your the only reason yeah your the only reason

Conditioned To Request Permission

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
Any happiness we get.

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
Any happiness we get.

Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
The pursuing of the blooming...
We expect and accept,
With any happiness we get.

Oh...
Oh oh,
Why should we be the ones conditioned,
To request permission...
To investigate a picked division.

And whoa,
A oh oh....
Oh,
Why should we be the ones conditioned,
To request permission...
To investigate a picked division.

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
Any happiness we get.

No need to treat me with suspicion,
And live with secret inhabitions.
Why should we accept conditions,
That might invite future division.

Whoa,
A oh oh....
Oh,
Why should we be the ones conditioned,
To request permission...
To investigate a picked division.

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
Any happiness we get.

You Don't Do Crack Or Speed

You don’t do crack or speed or heroin;
you’re not lifting the moon like an eyelid
to find a new place to shoot,
but you’re boiling your heart in a spoon,
you’re thawing the six rocks of your emotions,
boiling away the seven oceans
that will get you through the night
as if you were another sign of global warming.
And now you’re weeping and raging in my living room,
violently shapeshifting through your withdrawal
like an exorcism gone wrong
because the latest hot lover
you got hooked on like a dealer
proved to be a snakeoil salesman in paradise
who convinced you the scales of your daring
would turn into feathers
and your falling take flight.
Not everybody who jumps from heaven makes hell;
for example, your heart there on that rock
you’re kicking around at your feet
like the skull of the world,
isn’t that the sun on your horizon
pouring out of its broken shell like the yoke
of another tragic casualty of spring
fallen like Icarus from the embryonic wax
of your exaggerated wingspan?
Love is not a form of substance abuse
and I’m not the local, walk-in rehab centre
you can duck into anytime
you’ve spent your last dime like a bullet
on a dealer that’s not reloading,
but pain is pain and I can feel yours
chaining itself to all your emergency doors
so that no one could ever get out
when you go hunting for yourself
like a contract you’ve taken out on a highschool.
But it isn’t the object of your longing,
the focus of the star, the shining
that you’re addicted to
like all those placebos and soothers
you keep calling boyfriends,
faking you’re better
everytime you take one:
you’re addicted to addiction.
You’re addicted to the promise you mean to keep.
And you can keep on
taking your clothes off like Christmas
and suffering the usual unwrapping depressions,
but you’re addicted to being a gift
that was meant for someone else

Sally Simpson

Outside the house mr. simpson announced
Outside the house mr. simpson announced
That sally couldnt go to the meeting.
That sally couldnt go to the meeting.
He went on cleaning his blue rolls royce
He went on cleaning his blue rolls royce
And she ran inside weeping.
And she ran inside weeping.
She got to her room and tears splashed the picture
She got to her room and tears splashed the picture
Of the new messiah.
Of the new messiah.
She picked up a book of her fathers life
She picked up a book of her fathers life
And threw it on the fire!
And threw it on the fire!
She knew from the start
She knew from the start
Deep down in her heart
Deep down in her heart
That she and tommy were worlds apart,
That she and tommy were worlds apart,
But her mother said never mind your part...
But her mother said never mind your part...
Is to be what youll be.
Is to be what youll be.
The theme of the sermon was come unto me,
The theme of the sermon was come unto me,
Love will find a way,
Love will find a way,
So sally decided to ignore her dad,
So sally decided to ignore her dad,
And sneak out anyway!
And sneak out anyway!
She spent all afternoon getting ready,
She spent all afternoon getting ready,
And decided shed try to touch him,
And decided shed try to touch him,
Maybe hed see that she was free
Maybe hed see that she was free
And talk to her this sunday.
And talk to her this sunday.
She knew from the start
She knew from the start
Deep down in her heart
Deep down in her heart
That she and tommy were worlds apart,
That she and tommy were worlds apart,

You Yield To the Wrong Way

Your mind has been scattered away,
With...
Those dangled wishes,
Just to keep you addicted.

Your mind has been scattered away,
With...
Those dangled wishes,
Just to keep you addicted.
And you reach up for the stars,
But not a lift you get.
And you've become so vicious.

Your mind has been scattered away,
With...
Those dangled wishes,
Just to keep you addicted.
And something inside you,
Said STOP!
But you yield to the wrong way.
And you went ahead to drop...
Your head in dismay.

Your mind has been scattered away,
With...
Those dangled wishes,
Just to keep you addicted.

Your mind has been scattered away,
With...
Those dangled wishes,
Just to keep you addicted.
And something inside you,
Said STOP!
But you yield to the wrong way.

And that's why your head has dropped,
Because you yield to the wrong way!

Addictive Gambler

Addicted Gambler
This is a sad tale
Of a man who gambled and failed
His desire was to get rich quick
But he ended up being a losing freak

Daily withdrawals from the cash machine
Yet with money he was so mean
Never ate hence so thin and lean
Smoked away with bad breath and skin

He had other hidden talents
Which were vividly silent?
He was creative
Very imaginative
But none of that ever became lucrative

An addicted gambler
Who tried his hands at everything?
To see what his luck might bring
Spent hours scratching cards at Bingo
Tried poker though he did not know the lingo
Played and lost on various fruit machines
Never ever satisfied with a days win
Gambled on so many horses
Which all brought heavy losses?

In misery he resorted to alcohol
This also contributed to his downfall
Lost all his friends
In vain tried to make amends
After missing so many appointments

Several times he threw in the towel
When he realised
He had no more personal possessions to sell
Saying life really sucks
I don’t seem to be having any luck
But he was an addicted gambler
It was only a question of time
When he will sneak out of home as if a crime
To gamble his newly acquired wealth away again

An addicted Gambler
Absorbed with heavy numerous debts
Caused by large unreasonable bets
Spending his entire wage
Was a daily chapter in his book and page
That grew worse and worse with every age

Hopelessly Addicted

Opened my eyes today
And I knew there's something different
Saw you in a brand new way
Like the clouds had somehow lifted
And if yesterday I heard
Myself saying these words
I would swear it was a lie

I don't know why but suddenly I'm falling
Was I so blind
I was loving you all the time
Now I'm hopelessly addicted
Helplessly attracted

I'll make a wish this day
And I'll send it to the heavens
That we will always stay
Entwined like this forever
And though the world may change
Coz nothing stays the same
I know we will survive

I don't know why but suddenly I'm falling
I was so blind
I was loving you all the time
Now I'm hopelessly addicted
Naturally we acted

I don't know why but suddenly I'm falling
I was so blind
I was loving you all the time
And now I'm
Hopelessly addicted
Helplessly attracted
Chemically reacted
Naturally we acted
I was loving you all the time
Hopelessly addicted
Helplessly attracted
Chemically reacted
Naturally we acted
Yeah

Toxic

Baby, can't you see
I'm calling
A guy like you
Should wear a warning
It's dangerous
I'm falling
There's no escape
I can't wait
I need a hit
Baby, give me it
You're dangerous
I'm loving it
Too high
Can't come down
Losing my head
Spinning round and round
do you feel me now?
with a taste of your lips
I'm on a ride
You're toxic
I'm slipping under..
With a taste of a poison paradise
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?
And I love what you do
Don't you know that you're toxic?
It's getting late
To give you up
I took a sip
From a devil's cup
Slowly
It's taking over me
Too high
Can't come down
It's in the air
And it's all around
Can you feel me now?
With a taste of your lips
I'm on a ride
You're toxic
I'm slipping under..
With a taste of a poison paradise
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?
And I love what you do
Don't you know that you're toxic?
Don't you know that you're toxic?

Hooked On Rock & Roll

The boy could play before he learned to grow
Worked in a band who had no name at all
Every mornin at the break of dawn
You could see him draggin home his drums
I was vaccinated with a little needle
And Im hooked on rock and roll
They called the family doctor to see what he could do
Doc said no you cant cure his soul
Once hes infected with the blues
So I travelled round from town to town singin out the news
I was vaccinated with a little needle
And Im hooked on rock and roll
When you find you got no mind
To work from nine to five
Find the back beat, set your heart free
And feel that music runnin through your feet
Mama told me long ago
Aint no future in that rock n roll
And I said hey mama, its burnin hot inside my soul
Its like a fever that wont cool down
Ive been addicted since I heard that sound
I was vaccinated with a little needle
And Im hooked on rock and roll
When you find you got no mind (bop shoo bop, bop bop shoo bop)
To work from nine to five
Find the back beat, set your heart free
(bop shoo bop, bop bop shoo bop)
And feel the music runnin through your feet
Mama told me long ago
Aint no future in that rock n roll
And I said hey mama, its burnin hot inside me soul
Its like a fever that wont cool down
Ive been addicted since I heard that sound
I was vaccinated with a little needle
And Im hooked on rock and roll, yeah
Hooked on rock and roll
(Ive been addicted since I heard that sound)
Hooked on rock and roll
Hooked on rock and roll
(its like a fever that wont cool down)
Hooked on rock and roll, yeah, yeah, yeah
Hooked on rock and roll
(its burnin, burnin, burnin in my soul)
Hooked on rock and roll
Hooked on rock and roll
(Ive been addicted since I heard that sound)
Hooked on rock and roll
Hooked on rock and roll
Hooked on rock and roll

In Fear to Live Without An Approval Given

Comatosed,
And going through programmed motions.
A life grossed out,
With overdosed imposed notions.
And under hypnosis,
As neurotics sometimes appear.

Stuck!

In ruts.
And too addicted to give them up!
In fear to live without an approval given.

Lives becoming too corrupt!
For those who've been fed...
Their lives lived,
Are headed towards bad luck!

Stuck!

In ruts.
And too addicted to give them up!
In fear to live without an approval given.

While some on the other hand,
Wearing shoes spit shined...
Reflecting all for them is going grand.
All is fine.
With seats sitting on top of the World.
Are never seen behind the scenes...
Throwing their temper tantrums,
As if spoiled boys and girls.
Screaming from inside their soundproof cells.
No one hears them screaming!
Not the ones who believe them to be living well.

Not from the hell they've made!

Fresh pressed dresses.
And suits with no hints of lint.
Often send wrong messages...
To those impressed!
Expressing their bittersweet and sour laments.

Stuck!

In ruts.
And too addicted to give them up!
In fear to live without an approval given.

Addicted to your lies
Addicted to my cries

I love to feel the pain
I loved to be insane

Forget about you no longer have me
I am in a visible light of glory

I am no longer caught in your lies
Today I am stronger with all my light

Love is so much more than you will no
Feeling sorry for myself, no this is no more

Walking and feeling sun against my skin
Enjoying your gifts and forgiving my sin..

I never felt a higher high.
I never felt so much inspiration in my life

Today is amazing I look at the beautiful skies
Today is amazing....................

Addicted to your lies
Addicted to my cries

I love to feel the pain

The Apology

ADDRESSED TO THE CRITICAL REVIEWERS.

Tristitiam et Metus.--HORACE.

Laughs not the heart when giants, big with pride,
Assume the pompous port, the martial stride;
O'er arm Herculean heave the enormous shield,
Vast as a weaver's beam the javelin wield;
With the loud voice of thundering Jove defy,
And dare to single combat--what?--A fly!
And laugh we less when giant names, which shine
Establish'd, as it were, by right divine;
Critics, whom every captive art adores,
To whom glad Science pours forth all her stores;
Who high in letter'd reputation sit,
And hold, Astraea-like, the scales of wit,
With partial rage rush forth--oh! shame to tell!--
To crush a bard just bursting from the shell?
Great are his perils in this stormy time
Who rashly ventures on a sea of rhyme:
Around vast surges roll, winds envious blow,
And jealous rocks and quicksands lurk below:
Greatly his foes he dreads, but more his friends;
He hurts me most who lavishly commends.
Look through the world--in every other trade
The same employment's cause of kindness made,
At least appearance of good will creates,
And every fool puffs off the fool he hates:
Cobblers with cobblers smoke away the night,
And in the common cause e'en players unite;
Authors alone, with more than savage rage,
Unnatural war with brother authors wage.
The pride of Nature would as soon admit
Competitors in empire as in wit;
Onward they rush, at Fame's imperious call,
And, less than greatest, would not be at all.
Smit with the love of honour,--or the pence,--
O'errun with wit, and destitute of sense,
Should any novice in the rhyming trade
With lawless pen the realms of verse invade,
Forth from the court, where sceptred sages sit,
Abused with praise, and flatter'd into wit,
Where in lethargic majesty they reign,
And what they won by dulness, still maintain,
Legions of factious authors throng at once,
Fool beckons fool, and dunce awakens dunce.
To 'Hamilton's the ready lies repair--
Ne'er was lie made which was not welcome there--
Thence, on maturer judgment's anvil wrought,
The polish'd falsehood's into public brought.

X-ray inferno

They called me to be an extra
They did not know I had a camera in my soul
For some all the worlds a stage
For some all the stage is the world
Wonder if the great one knew this
When he shook his spears
I was in between
Neither the real actor nor the real lifer
Perhaps this was each interpretation gave up
The stage I was standing on
I could not grasp the text even though I got it in time
Perhaps it was quite enough for a stage
Certainly not for a life

Act 1 and its main character

He had a face unto which
An invisible hand of law left the visible scars
A quite sufficient number of them for a drama
He had those eyes hesitating between comedy and tragedy
There was laughter in one eye and tears in another
He laughed the way the dramaturge ordered him to do
But he cried quite independently
He had those arms destroyed by uncreation
He never knew the text as he had no camera in his soul
Great words of great minds so frequently he stammered
Little did he understand even less did he rehearse
He was a great actor but on this stage
Under the spotlight all he did was stand frozen

Act 2 The Prompter

He was in collusion with the sky
The Hermes of a contemporary theatre
He flattered all the laws of life
He knew exactly how low to go down into his box
So as to avoid the knocks from the stage
He knew exactly what and when
To whisper the texts into whose ears
He had known the text by heart
Even before it was written
Great words of great minds he recited out of his underground darkness
And he always knew the right moment
Because he knew everything about time
He never acted but he was a real lifer

Fifth Book

AURORA LEIGH, be humble. Shall I hope
To speak my poems in mysterious tune
With man and nature,–with the lava-lymph
That trickles from successive galaxies
Still drop by drop adown the finger of God,
In still new worlds?–with summer-days in this,
That scarce dare breathe, they are so beautiful?–
With spring's delicious trouble in the ground
Tormented by the quickened blood of roots.
And softly pricked by golden crocus-sheaves
In token of the harvest-time of flowers?–
With winters and with autumns,–and beyond,
With the human heart's large seasons,–when it hopes
And fears, joys, grieves, and loves?–with all that strain
Of sexual passion, which devours the flesh
In a sacrament of souls? with mother's breasts,
Which, round the new made creatures hanging there,
Throb luminous and harmonious like pure spheres?–
With multitudinous life, and finally
With the great out-goings of ecstatic souls,
Who, in a rush of too long prisoned flame,
Their radiant faces upward, burn away

Alike imperious as the primal rhythm
Of that theurgic nature? I must fail,
Who fail at the beginning to hold and move
One man,–and he my cousin, and he my friend,
And he born tender, made intelligent,
Inclined to ponder the precipitous sides
Of difficult questions; yet, obtuse to me,–
Of me, incurious! likes me very well,
And wishes me a paradise of good,
Good looks, good means, and good digestion!–ay,
But otherwise evades me, puts me off
With kindness, with a tolerant gentleness,–
Too light a book for a grave man's reading! Go,
Aurora Leigh: be humble.
There it is;
We women are too apt to look to one,
Which proves a certain impotence in art.
We strain our natures at doing something great,
Far less because it's something great to do,
Than, haply, that we, so, commend ourselves
As being not small, and more appreciable
To some one friend. We must have mediators
