Death Of An Innocent (Part 2)
'I went to a party mum,
I know what you'd say.
You'd say not to drink mum,
But I drank anyway.
I felt sick inside mum,
As I knew I would.
I didn't catch the bus mum,
As I definitely should.
I pulled into the road mum,
I felt dizzy in my head.
I didn't see her coming mum,
And now she's probably dead.
I saw her bleeding on the road mum,
But I got up okay.
I kept saying ‘I'm sorry' mum,
What else could I say?
I saw her leave this world mum,
And I wished that I were dead.
I was wracked with guilt mum,
I wish it were me instead.
Now I'm off to gaol mum,
Though I think that's only fair.
Manslaughter and drink driving mum,
No crime could compare.
I wanted you to know mum,
That I didn't think.
I'm so sorry mum,
I wish I didn't drink.
I have one last question mum,
Before we say goodbye.
I was the one to drink and drive,
So why did she have to die? '
* I didn't write the original ‘Death of an Innocent'. It is a poem from the girl who dies in this poem's perspective. No one is completely sure of the author, but Eugina Depasse claims she wrote it.
I read the original poem and it got me to thinking that although it is a horrendous thing for an innocent to die, what of the killer? Surely he/she would feel tremendously guilty? You can't always make someone a villan, there are many sides to a person.

I'm Sorry
Mum I'm sorry for all of the tough times I put you through
There are many things that I did to you that I shouldn't have
But I think it's about time that I say I LOVE YOU
Mum this is coming from the heart
And that's the only way to start
Since I was a little girl
My whole life went into a whirl
I'm sorry for all of the lies
And for all the times I made you cry
I'm sorry for all of the fights I started with you
Mum just remember I LOVE YOU
All of the things that I have been going through
Makes me realize what you say is true
Mum my whole life is on lockdown
Everyday I walk with a frown
I just want to be free
And live my life the way it used to be
Mum I'm happy you are there to help me through life
And that is true I don't have to think twice
Mum my whole life went down the drain
Ever since I went to court
And went through all of that pain.......
I wish I could go back
And walk through life on different tracks
Mum freedom doesn't come free
Especially for me
Mum I have committed many sins
But I have to stay strong
In my life I haven't seen many grins
But I'll be strong no matter how long
I still have a lot to learn
No matter how much my heart burns
Mum I'm sorry for all of the fights
Especially the ones that lasted all night

Mouth To Mouth
Ahhhhey!
Ahhhhey!
You tied the knot,
A legend is what you bought
I give you cold water,
And you swear it was wine
You bought time
If you can fool yourself,
Then why not them?
Just keep passing it,
Mouth to mouth to mouth
Ahhhhey!
Ahhhhey!
You tied the knot,
A legend is what you bought
I give you cold water,
And you swear it was wine
You bought time
If you can fool yourself,
Then why not them?
Just keep passing it,
Mouth to mouth to mouth
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
Bring it out, bring it out
Ahhhhey!
You tied the knot,
Peeled your skin off,
Leave a bungle of nerves
I give you a wet noodle,
You swear that it was my tongue
A sharp one
Instead of that same old
Mouth to mouth to mouth to mouth
I can dress up the dead man, I cant bring him back to life
Bring it out, bring it out
Ahhhhey!
Ahhhhey!
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth
Ahhhhey!
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth to mouth to mouth
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life ...
This is getting old

Mighty Mum!
As Mighty Mum prepared her day,
Her little list grew long,
But she cast all her doubts away,
My word, she's really strong!
Her faith was but a mustard seed,
A teeny-weeny thing,
Yet she knew where such faith could lead,
What wonders God could bring!
As Mighty Mum, with kids in tow,
Drove onwards to their school,
She prayed their minds would someday know
That love's the Golden Rule...
If not for love, she'd stand no chance!
Her powers soon would fade...
She knew God's powers would enhance
To help her make the grade...
As Mighty Mum kissed kids bye-bye,
She waved then bid farewell,
To speed along, morale still high,
As if saved by the bell...
Now orf to work! So orf she went
Intent to do her best,
Where every one was like a friend
By whom she was impressed...
As Mighty Mum arrived on time,
She organised each task,
As if each mountain meant to climb
And folks had but to ask...
She toiled and toiled and toiled and toiled,
Yet teamwork worked O.K.
Such that each setback had been foiled!
Yeah, praise the Lord! Hoorah!
As Mighty Mum left work once more,
The shopping must be done!
She'd saved a fortune that's for sure!
In fact, she thought it fun!
Then she drove home, then made the tea,
Then heard the mobile phone...
'Hey, Mighty Mum! It's half-past-three!
We're still at school alone! '
As Mighty Mum left home again,
She made her way to school,
She knew kids don't forget this when
Their Mum thinks she's so cool...
But Mighty Mum had come this far!

Establishing a new precedent.
Establishing a new precedent.
On Christmas day just after lunch.
Uncle Jim’s drunk most of the punch.
Grandmas been at the gin again
Her silly giggles make that plain.
Mothers too busy washing up
to see how much booze Dad can sup.
The kids have gone their separate ways
without a single word of praise
For the preparation
their mum has single handed done.
It is the same thing every year
Nobody sees that it’s not fair.
To leave it all to poor old mum
A little help would be welcome.
At least that how it used to be
But this year Mum has broken free.
She has decided she will stay
in an hotel for Christmas day
Where she will be waited on
.She left a not to say she’s gone.
But carefully does not say where
nor when she’s coming home again.
She decided to declare
and by her action make it plain.
That in the future she must be
treated very differently.
I am quite sure the family
will realise shamefacedly.
That mothers are entitled to
expect the family to assist
When there is so much work to do.
She knows how much she will be missed.
Although she goes reluctantly
She is quite sure she is correct
to try and show the family.
That in the future she’ll expect
every one to play their part
and offer their help willingly
It’s time to make a brand new start

There's no end too my life
There's no end too my life
As a mother and wife!
Mum! ! ! Where's my shoe
Son! you're making me blue
Mum! ! ! Can I have a lolly?
Son! Stop mucking about in the trolley.
Mum! ! ! Can we go park…
Son! It's going, dark…
Mum - No it isn't - Mum!
Yes, it is son!
No it isn't - Mum! ! !
There's no end too my life
As a mother and wife!
O Love! Where are my socks…?
Darling… I don't know. Love, set the clocks
Love! Pass me the remote…
Yes, darling… Love! Can you make some tea?
O Love! ! Run me a bath
Yes.
…darling…
He sees her seething wrath…
As finally she rests and sleeps at last.
Mum! ! ! Mum! ! ! Mum! ! !
Johnnies being sick…?
There's no end too my life
As a mother and wife!

Mouth
You gave me this
made me give
your silver grin
still sticking it in
you have soul machine
soul machine
the longest kiss
peeling furniture days
drift madly to you
pollute my heart drain
you have broken at me
broken me
all your mental armor drags me down
nothing hurts like your mouth
your loaded smiles
pretty just desserts
wish it all for you
so much it never hurts
you have soul machine
stone at me
all your mental armor drags me down
we can't breathe when you come around
all your mental armor drags me down
nothing hurts like your mouth mouth
mouth
your mouth mouth mouth
your mouth mouth mouth
we've been missing long before
never found our way home
we've been missing long before
where we'll find our way
you gave me this
made me give
you have soul machine
broken free
all your mental armor drags me down
we can't breathe when you come around
all your mental armor drags me down
nothing hurts like your mouth mouth
mouth
your mouth mouth mouth
your mouth mouth mouth
all your mental armor
all your mental armor
and your mouth

Afrikaans: Sterregordels, Stilsonjare, Tydsbroekspypdinge, Haarsliert
Sterregordels
Cosmology in Afrikaans is an ode to joy, the
terms form sing-song strings with delightful
sounds “ewigbewegende elektron”
continuously spinning electron
“elektron in die hart van die atoomkorrel”
electron in the centre of the atom particle
- what a song!
“Triljoene Melkwegstelsels waaromheen ons
Melkweg elke tweehonderdmiljoenjaar
wentel – ‘n mallemeule van sterregordels…”
“Dobberende patrone, mesone en elektrone,
'n konfigurasie van konvekse novae”…
- these terms are singing to me!
A merry-go-round of star systems
Quotes from Adriaan Snyman “Die Messias Kode” (The Messiah Code) pp.9,10
Bombardement Van Frekwensies (English Explanation)
Waarmee sal ek hierdie leë oomblikke,
ankerloos, betekenisloos; aan die ewigheid
vasmaak - die gevoelsruimte in my hart
My pendulumgedagtes swaai ongefokus rond
die opgerolde, ingevoude ses-en-twintig of
meer dimensies van die virtuele werklikheid
Wil nie vir my oopgaan nie…
All thought and feeling fell into the black hole in my brain and the twenty-six or more rolled-up frequencies of reality does not want to open for me today…

Your The Apple of My Eye
Mum why is there war?
Because men believe in what they say
So they fight for what is right
Mum why does the rain fall?
Because people believe
They are the tears of God
Each time a baby dies
Mum why does the sun shine?
Because it warms the earth
To make new life each and every day
Mum why is the sky blue?
Because they believe
God painted it that way
Mum why are their stars?
Because people believe
It's a birth of a newborn child
Mum why do you cry?
Because I am so happy
God gave you in my life
I love you mum
I love you son
You're the apple of my eye

Blames The Mother
She blames all of her troubles on her mum
She never blames her faults on herself,
The reason she got married so many times
Its because she did like her mum, why else.
The reason she drinks is her mum did too
And that's the reason she goes to the pubs,
And the reason she has had so many men
Its because her mum, never showed her love.
She does not know how to make a commitment
And that too, she blames on her mother,
And the reason she swears and that she also curses
It is because of her mum, and no other.
She has her daughters to hate their own fathers
Just like her mother had her hated her on dad,
And then years later when she found out the truth
She agreed with him, that her mum was mad.
She lies and cheats and she also steals
Just as she said her mother did the same,
And now she says she sees not a problem in it
And that too, her mum is to blame.
She uses the people that she does meet
To get from then all with her dishonesty and lies,
And when they do not agree with her type of living
She abandons them, and never for them does she cry.
She thinks of herself first only in this life
She doesn't care who she has used or even hurt,
As that's because of the teaching of her own mother
That she must and will always put herself first.
She lives in her own little world which is true
Probably the same world where her mom does live,
Where no one has had it as bad or as hard as her
And so she takes and takes and never gives.
So now I think in years or even days from now
When her daughter are talking to each other,
About the sins and and evils they have done or will do
And I wander if they too, will they blame it on their mother.

Give Your Heart To The Hawks
1 he apples hung until a wind at the equinox,
That heaped the beach with black weed, filled the dry grass
Under the old trees with rosy fruit.
In the morning Fayne Fraser gathered the sound ones into a
basket,
The bruised ones into a pan. One place they lay so thickly
She knelt to reach them.
Her husband's brother passing
Along the broken fence of the stubble-field,
His quick brown eyes took in one moving glance
A little gopher-snake at his feet flowing through the stubble
To gain the fence, and Fayne crouched after apples
With her mop of red hair like a glowing coal
Against the shadow in the garden. The small shapely reptile
Flowed into a thicket of dead thistle-stalks
Around a fence-post, but its tail was not hidden.
The young man drew it all out, and as the coil
Whipped over his wrist, smiled at it; he stepped carefully
Across the sag of the wire. When Fayne looked up
His hand was hidden; she looked over her shoulder
And twitched her sunburnt lips from small white teeth
To answer the spark of malice in his eyes, but turned
To the apples, intent again. Michael looked down
At her white neck, rarely touched by the sun,
But now the cinnabar-colored hair fell off from it;
And her shoulders in the light-blue shirt, and long legs like a boy's
Bare-ankled in blue-jean trousers, the country wear;
He stooped quietly and slipped the small cool snake
Up the blue-denim leg. Fayne screamed and writhed,
Clutching her thigh. 'Michael, you beast.' She stood up
And stroked her leg, with little sharp cries, the slender invader
Fell down her ankle.
Fayne snatched for it and missed;
Michael stood by rejoicing, his rather small
Finely cut features in a dance of delight;
Fayne with one sweep flung at his face
All the bruised and half-spoiled apples in the pan,

Word Of Mouth
Ive been trying to get a message to you,
But the operator cant put me through,
Because the vandals went and wrecked all the telephones.
And all my enemies are spreading bad news,
You wont call me, thats why Im calling you,
To put you straight about the rumors theyre spreading about me back home.
I should have known, sooner or later,
Youd get the news, sooner or later,
The word of mouth will get right back to you.
Somehow we lost communication,
My only chance in my situation,
Is that the word of mouth gets my message through.
The word of mouth,
The word of mouth,
But who are they to say the things they do?
The word of mouth says that Ive gone insane,
That wine and women have affected my brain.
Well whos the big mouth spreading the news again?
The word of mouth says Im round the bend,
Its all over, this is the end.
Exaggeration sure gets the better of people who send[? ].
The word of mouth,
The word of mouth,
But who are they to say the things they do?
The word of mouth said I should be put in my place.
The word is out Im in disgrace -- a waste of space.
But if they say it, say it to my face.
People talking, trying to dig up the dirt,
There are so many lies around.
They spread their gossip and the rumors around this town.
Word of mouth, face to face,
My word of mouth has stated my case,
And Im saying Im coming back home to you.
You should have know sooner or later,
Youd get the news sooner or later,
The word of mouth will get right back to you.
The word of mouth,
Shut your mouth,
Shut your face!

We Said
Mum said go you play have some fun
Go play you in the hall,
I was playing having fun
Playing with my rubber ball,
Dad says angry ways
I not to play at all,
I said but mum said
I to play in fun,
Dad said, no fun today some other day
Go get yourself a bun.
Dad said go you out go play you in the sun,
I said, mum said today we go to town,
Dad said not to today some other day
Away you sit down,
I said mum said she baked me a cake,
Dad said mum said she bought the bloody cake
Then good old mum hit him round the bake,
Now I'm rolling over
Laughing out my belly,
But dad thinks I'm laughing
At the funnies on the telly

The Broken-Teapot
Mum's bit of egg money on the mantelpiece
In the broken teapot in the olden days,
Hardly earned and hoarded there,
Much content afforded there
Long before inspectors came and bureaucratic ways.
But science by the barn-door rules the farmer's lot
And Mum's bit of egg-money dwindles in the pot.
Ever since the first years this was mother's perquisite,
Eggs daily gathered by the old barn door,
From the stable gathered in,
From the shed and fodder bin,
Carted in and traded at the small town store;
Gathered from the wayward hen laying far afield
As the new-cleared acres gave their golden yield.
Long it was a stand-by while the kids were little ones
Mum's broken teapot resting on the shelf
Some print to make a dress for Lil,
Sunday boots for Joe and Bill,
A loan to Dad and, now and then, a trifle for herself:
Growing heavy Christmas time by dint of watchful thrift
To buy a little Christmas cheer and here and there a gift.
But Mum's bit of egg-money grows a thing of history,
And Mum's broken teapot an heirloom now indeed,
Since Science ousts the picturesque;
And Dad has bought an office desk
To puzzle o'er official rules and size and weight and breed.
But Mum is brooding darkly o'er the forbidden egg,
Which, like a furtive gangsteress, she threatens to bootleg.

Farewell, My Beloved Mum
Loving Mum
You're my best mum
In the whole universe.
I always love you.
You always take care of me
When I'm sick,
When I'm sad,
When I'm naughty,
When I'm stubborn.
Oh Mum,
Why you left us so soon?
Please don't cry, don't grief,
Don't held up, hang on.
Stop worrying us all,
Be willing to let go all,
Relieve your painful agony.
I may not understand
All the pains and agony
You endure.
You undergo many
Sacrifices, sufferings and challenges
In your life to give the best to me.
I never forget
All things you had done for me,
And taught me.
Loving mum,
Thank you so much,
For giving me life,
For upbringing me into this world.
You make me proud,
I'll make you proud too,
As your good child.
I felt very sad and sorrowful
To see you go
Saying final farewell
To you.
Loving mum,
I'll always miss you,
You'll forever live in my memory.

Boxing Day Blues
My dad got on his bicycle to ride to Spondon village,
to say Happy Christmas to his dear old mum.
He rode across the fields and by the River Derwent,
it was a frosty morning, but bright in the sun.
He left the riverside and climbed up by the bridge
onto the carriageway and along the cycle path.
At the railway crossing he cut off down the lane,
by the scrap dealers and an old tin bath.
Across the level crossing by the side of the station
over the canal bridge and pass the Moon Hotel.
Onward towards Lodge Lane and his next turn right
where he hit the pavement and very nearly fell.
Number two Willowcroft Road was his destination,
he wasn’t expected, so his mum would be surprised.
Catching his breath for a second at the open back door,
his mother said, “Well, you’re a sight for sore eyes.”
“Happy Christmas mum, ” he said as he kissed her cheek.
“Happy Christmas George, I’ll make a fresh pot of tea.”
As they sat chatting, his brothers came through the door,
“Happy Christmas George, ” said Frank, Jim and Alfie.
“George, have you got time to come for a drink?
We’re going for a bevy down the Moon.
We’ll also have a laugh and a few hands of cards,
and generally enjoy the afternoon.”
He said he had and kissed his mum goodbye,
and off they walked down to the Moon.
They were pleased and happy to be together again
and arrived at the pub exactly at noon.
Now my dad was by no means a drinking man
and one Milk Stout was all he would drink,
but when The Moon closed that afternoon,
he had more than one too many I think.
Happily, he said goodbye to his brothers,
as he mounted his bicycle to ride home.
His balance was decidedly questionable
and more so when he rode over a stone.
As he cycled his stomach began churning
and his head began to spin inside.
By the riverside he fell off his bicycle
and vomited on the grass where he lied.

Suppers Ready
Lovers leap
Walking across the sitting-room, I turn the television off.
Sitting beside you, I look into your eyes.
As the sound of motor cars fades in the night time,
I swear I saw your face change, it didnt seem quite right.
...and its hello babe with your guardian eyes so blue
Hey my baby dont you know our love is true.
Coming closer with our eyes, a distance falls around our bodies.
Out in the garden, the moon seems very bright,
Six saintly shrouded men move across the lawn slowly.
The seventh walks in front with a cross held high in hand.
...and its hey babe your suppers waiting for you.
Hey my baby, dont you know our love is true.
Ive been so far from here,
Far from your warm arms.
Its good to feel you again,
Its been a long long time. hasnt it?
The guaranteed eternal sanctuary man
I know a farmer who looks after the farm.
With water clear, he cares for all his harvest.
I know a fireman who looks after the fire.
You, cant you see hes fooled you all.
Yes, hes here again, cant you see hes fooled you all.
Share his peace,
Sign the lease.
Hes a supersonic scientist,
Hes the guaranteed eternal sanctuary man.
Look, look into my mouth he cries,
And all the children lost down many paths,
I bet my life youll walk inside
Hand in hand,
Gland in gland
With a spoonful of miracle,
Hes the guaranteed eternal sanctuary.
We will rock you, rock you little snake,
We will keep you snug and warm.
Ikhnaton and itsacon and their band of merry men
Wearing feelings on our faces while our faces took a rest,
We walked across the fields to see the children of the west,
But we saw a host of dark skinned warriors
Standing still below the ground,
Waiting for battle.
The fights begun, theyve been released.
Killing foe for peace...bang, bang, bang. bang, bang, bang...
And theyre giving me a wonderful potion,
cos I cannot contain my emotion.
And even though Im feeling good,
Something tells me Id better activate my prayer capsule.
Todays a day to celebrate, the foe have met their fate.
The order for rejoicing and dancing has come from our warlord.

You Run Your Mouth (And I'll Run My Business)
(words and music by Armstrong)
Who doubt say, who doubt when I say, who doubt...
You cats keep beetin' up your chops
I had turn you over to the cops
I dig this spiel I'm going way on your gate
Don't cop your broom pop or buddy or mate
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
You tell everybody I'm busted
You talk so much you got me disgusted
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
Yeh, you run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
You start up telling me you're my pal
End up telling how to handle my gal
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
You run your juicy mouth and I'll run my business brother
You run your juicy mouth and I'll run my business brother
You're always telling me what to do
Saying "I wouldn't do that if I was you"
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
(instrumental break)
You clamp your liver lips and I'll run my business brother
Just clamp your liver lips and I'll run my business brother
If I follows your advice on how to make dough
I'd been in the jailhouse long ago
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
Yeh, you run your juicy mouth and I'll run my business brother
Just you run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
You tell everybody I'm busted
You talk so much you got me disgusted
You run your mouth and I'll run my business brother
