Too Patient

When I began to weed through,
My priority list...
I saw some things on it,
That no longer exist.

I had placed people,
Who I considered friends on this list.
And for years they had been on it...
Doing and saying things to me as they wished.
Some don't speak to me.
But my name is on their lips.

Very few on my priority list,
Have me on their agenda.
And if they do,
I'm sure it's for fun, sport and gossip.

Home is a place where you can feel safe

Home is a place where you can break down in the free

Home is the place where you feel joy happiness and whole

Home is a place where you lay your heart in

I have laid my heart in three different places

The Legend Of St. Sophia Of Kioff

I.

[The Poet describes the city and spelling of Kiow, Kioff, or Kiova.]

A thousand years ago, or more,
A city filled with burghers stout,
And girt with ramparts round about,
Stood on the rocky Dnieper shore.
In armor bright, by day and night,
The sentries they paced to and fro.
Well guarded and walled was this town, and called
By different names, I'd have you to know;
For if you looks in the g'ography books,
In those dictionaries the name it varies,
And they write it off Kieff or Kioff, Kiova or Kiow.

Symbiotic Symphony

Slim beauty, fair hair sun-bright cloud
about her billows, surface calm
masks deep emotions, soul uncowed,
search newly blessed by soothing balm.
She wandered, lonely, through the crowd,
observing all, yet often seemed
both close and distant, head unbowed,
epitome of dreams she’d dreamed.

Sweet symbiotic symphony
awaiting liberating call,
preparing serendipity,
would nonetheless retain high wall
until discovering within
an infinite capacity
for stretching wings devoid of sin,
freed from former opacity.

Perpetual priority
protecting family until
each child - Ambre, Axel, Alice and Camille -
could thread autonomy and will
to flourish confident and be
emancipate - though never still -
from ignorance, fatuity.

Priority number two: to join
to present questions answers which
might mint fresh happiness' bright coin
a future fair, shared feelings rich
that none could question, none purloin,
an idyll oasis to stitch
nest nurturing til kids conjoin.

Deceptive calm! Her mind must try
to comprehend and then translate,
so children share, none e’er run shy
of fighting prejudice and hate.
Though world be harsh, though time swift fly,
empowered troupe she'd teach instate
an energy none misapply

If education had been a priority,
Its connection to greatness...
Would not have been an elective,
For the selective chosen few to possess.

If education had been a priority,
The providing of it...
Would have been more collective.
Without those costly decisions made,
To leave behind many subjected...
And left to think of themselves as fools.
Like those who have proven to be incompetent.
With abilities to deceive.

If education had been a priority,
Its connection to greatness...
Would not have been an elective,

And a greatness declared,
Through one's ability to produce weaponry...
Isn't greatness.
That's the height of evil stupidity.
Eventually used to attack its producer.

'Like that mad scientist obsessed,

To design his own human beings.
He alone would command their dependency.
But his first and only creation turned on him.

Frankenstein.

Not really.
So many have been running for political office.

Prioritized By Christ

All our needs and our heart’s desire, can be prompted by the liar,
That is Satan who very cunningly, taints the needs of you and me.
Suggesting to us what we need, sowing in hearts deceptive seed,
Being prince and power of the air, he wants hearts to reap despair.

All priorities we receive with love, from Christ our Savior up above,
Have been given to you and me, to focus our hearts upon Eternity.
But Satan will quickly interfere, denouncing all that God holds dear,
Turning our mind to things on earth, of which have no eternal worth.

The heavenly things we can’t see, shall be ours to enjoy for eternity,
While all the things many cherish, upon this earth shall soon perish.
This friend, includes the enemy, who has nothing to gain in eternity,
He schemes so we suffer loss, as he diverts hearts from the cross.

Our Salvation, Satan cannot spoil, but he fills us with needless toil,
Setting us up for a loss of reward, turning us from serving our Lord.
Moving us away from priority one; seeking the Kingdom of The Son,
And only as you follow this task, do you gain what will eternally last.

The rewards from the Son of God, for our life upon this earthly sod,
The life that has been prioritized, by He who reigns above the skies,
Who knows all about you friend, even when your earthly life will end,
So the best you can do in life, is to make your priority, Jesus Christ.

Raising Godly Families

Raising families may be tough, as our times are spiritually rough,
The roads that many take today, can lead youth spiritually astray;
Though times continue to change, God above, remains the same,
So that on The Lord's Revelation, we can have a firm foundation.

The Lord has a design for us, for families following Christ Jesus,
Regarding the families we raise, for The Lord's honor and praise,
Building on the Truths of Christ, we guide children to Eternal Life,
As God's plan moves the family, to a new life with God, eternally.

As we follow our Lord above, our families must be raised in love,
They must become our priority, as we sacrificially love the family,
Sacrificing even our own desire, for a priority much, much higher,
When we provide for the family, they obtain strength and security.

To those who we need to reach, it is necessary to biblically teach,
Godly character and God's Ways, as we lead them in these days,
Leading them in this world of sin, we must teach Godly discipline,
With Godly boundaries in this life, being followers of Jesus Christ,

It is a must we model personally, real Christ likeness to our family,
So that through our life we reveal, a God to them, who is truly real,
While teaching with a caring heart, in hope that they will not depart,
When times fill them with dismay, so, on God's path they will stay.

Fervently, we must always pray, for the family each and every day,
Knowing that we need help from, The Lord, when hard times come;
Finally, through all times it is a must, that in all things we fully trust,
The final outcome of our family, to the Lord, who's over all eternity.
