Children Need A Helping Hand
(featuring various artists)
Children need a helping hand
Children need a promise land
Let the children feel again
That love is alive
Children need a helping hand
Children are so innocent
Make this world a wonderland
So give us a sign
So give us a sign
Children have a heart of gold
Sometimes they feel alone and sold
They need someone to be around
Reach out
A helping hand
So many children dont know what to do
cause no ones there to guide em through
Were living in a world so cold
Dont make them sad and sold
They need a helping hand
Children need a helping hand
Children need a promised land
Let the children feel again
That love is alive
That love is alive
Children need a helping hand
Day by day
Children are so innocent
Show them the way
Make this world a wonderland
Join us and stay
So give us a sign
So give us a sign
Children, need a helping hand
We are all called to change
Into a world of hope
Without war, without pain
Children do have fantasies
The thoughts of far away and free
Dreamin of a wonderland
They live
In a childrens world
We could live in perfect harmony
Wonderland could be reality
Without war and without pain
And no one dies in vain
Thats the promised land
Children need a helping hand
Children need a promise land
Let the children feel again

Helping Hand
Chorus:
Everybody needs a helping hand
Take a look at your fellow man
And tell me what can I do today
cause everybody needs a helping out
If that aint what its all about
Tell me what
What can I do
What can I do today
Weve all seen trouble from time to time
There is a mountain ahead
Ive got no strength to climb, hey
If youre feeling that youre strong
Reach out to me
I hope this journey wont take long
But wont you please
Have mercy
(repeat chorus)
What can I do today
Im talking bout the soul all alone
Needing the daily bread
Someplace to lay his head, yeah, hey
And Im talking about the neighbor on your street
Wont you look him in the eye
Take time to speak
Thats mercy, yeah, cause...
(repeat chorus)
Love one another
Sister and brother
Love is the only way, hey
(repeat chorus twice)
What can I do today
Everybody needs a helpin, helpin
Everybody needs a helping hand
Everybody needs a helpin, helpin
Everybody needs a helping hand
Everybody needs a helping hand
Everybody needs it, oh, everybody needs it
Everybody needs a helping hand
Oh, everybody needs it, oh, yeah, oh, everybody needs it
Oh, yeah, everybody needs a helping hand
Everybody needs it, oh, everybody needs it
Everybody needs a helping hand
Everybody needs it

Throw Yourself Away
Baby's born on the bathroom floor
her mother prays that it'll never cry
but nothing's wrong you got your prom dress on
When they ask you'llsay it isn't mine
Oooh, you know they're gonna know you lied
Why the hell don't you throw yourself away
You know they're gonna burn it down
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God ain't even helping you out
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God aint even helping you
Why the hell don't you throw yourself away
You know they're gonna burn it down
So keep the way you feel anonymous
And hide it all until the day you die
your secret's safe at least you thought it was
But you can only keep it for a little while
Oooh, and now you're terrified
Why the hell don't you throw yourself away
You know they're gonna burn it down
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God ain't even helping you out
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God aint even helping you
Why the hell don't you throw yourself away
You know they're gonna burn it down
Baby's born on the bathroom floor
Her Mother prays that it'll never cry
but nothing's wrong you got your prom dress on
And when they ask you say it isn't mine
And damn you for thinkin' we would never know
And damn you for thinkin' we would never mind
theOnly reason that you'd made it this far
You never asked him but you never try
Why the hell don't you throw yourself away
Why the hell don't you throw yourself away
You know they're gonna burn it down
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God aint even helping you out
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God aint even helping you out
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God aint even helping you out
Wash my, hands of this
You notice that God aint even helping you
Why the hell don't you throw yourself away
You know they're gonna burn it down

Helping Hands
You gotta believe we can change the world
Don't turn a blind eye to tomorrow's world
But on the good side looking out
Don't take for granted the silent shout
The hands of time are rolling past
To turn the tide, we must move fast
Let's share the hope and pull some strings
We hold the answer this vision sings
They're holding on
But for how long
Let's set them free
Put your helping hands together rockin' on for survival
Gotta take a stand, time to make a plan, don't sit idle
We are the key to the dreams
It's not as hard as it seems
No
Get up and put your hands together
All your helping hands
Oh yeah
We're three steps down, you're two steps back
No more widgin' and that's a fact
A call to arms, let's take a stand
It's up to you to lend a helping hand
They're holding on
But for how long
Let's set them free
Put your helping hands together rockin' on for survival
Gotta take a stand, time to make a plan, don't sit idle
We are the key to the dreams
It's not as hard as it seems
No
Get up and put your hands together
All your helping hands, yeah
We're the thunder in the storm
That brings the winds of change
Together we can overcome
And start a brand new day
Put your helping hands together rockin' on for survival (Yeah yeah)
Gotta take a stand, it's time to make a plan, don't sit idle (No, no, no, no)
Put your helping hands together rockin' on for survival
Gotta take a stand, c'mon make a plan, don't sit idle (Oh!)

Every Good Man
Every good man needs a helping hand
so I travel alone if I can
Every man has a guiding star
and he knows what he's gonna get
when he's going too far
Living on the dark side once again
It's sad to lose a friend
Looking at things with empty feelings
Still we're going on
For Every good man needs a helping hand
I should have known too
Some of us learn too late, I'm sorry
Every good man needs a helping hand
It's true
Every good man needs a helping hand
so I travel alone if I can
Every man has a guiding star
and he knows
what he's gonna get
when he's going too far
Living on the dark side once again
It's sad to lose a friend
Looking at things with empty feelings

Peace In The Neighborhood
Best thing I ever saw
Was a man who loved his wife
In a place where things were good
I felt peace in the neighbourhood
That feeling in the air
Something was definitely there
It was a time when things were good
I felt peace in the neighbourhood
I was there, I really was.
At the centre of a love vibration.
People sharing with their friendd.
Helping each other out
Peace in the neighbourhood
Helping each other out
Then I woke up from my dream
To see things as they really are
People struggling to survive
How can peace hope to stay alive?
Well I was there...i felt so good
At the centre of a love vibration.
People caring for their world
Helping each other out.
Peace in the neighbourhood
Helping each other out.
Peace in the neighbourhood
Helping each other out.
Best thing I ever saw
I saw a man who loved his wife.
Peace in the neighbour hood
Helping each other out.
Peace in the neighbourhood.

Helping Me Get Over You
(Featuring Lari White)
(Travis Tritt/Lari White)
You ask who's lying in my bed
Is it really love we're making
My heart's hanging by a thread
She's the only reason it ain't breaking
Do you ever cross my mind
Darling fact is you still do
That's the reason she is here
Wiping your old memory clear
She's helping me get over you
Helping me get over you
One kiss at a time
'Cause all the pain that we've been through
Still weighs so heavy on my mind
Getting past the love we lost
That's a lonely bridge to cross
So I did what I had to do
I had to find somebody new
Who's helping me get over you
I know you'd never ask his name
But in your heart I know you wonder
I'm not much good at playing games
I'm just trying to keep from going under
There's no forever in his eyes
It's not the love that we once knew
Oh and it might be a sin
But tonight I've got a friend
Helping me get over you
Helping me get over you
One kiss at a time
'Cause all the pain that we've been through
Still weighs so heavy on my mind
Getting past the love we lost
That's a lonely bridge to cross
So I did what I had to do
I had to find somebody new
Who's helping me get over you
Oh I did the best that I could do
I had to find somebody new
To help me get over you

Prince Hohenstiel-Schwangau, Saviour of Society
Epigraph
I slew the Hydra, and from labour pass'd
To labour — tribes of labours! Till, at last,
Attempting one more labour, in a trice,
Alack, with ills I crowned the edifice.
You have seen better days, dear? So have I —
And worse too, for they brought no such bud-mouth
As yours to lisp "You wish you knew me!" Well,
Wise men, 't is said, have sometimes wished the same,
And wished and had their trouble for their pains.
Suppose my Œdipus should lurk at last
Under a pork-pie hat and crinoline,
And, latish, pounce on Sphynx in Leicester Square?
Or likelier, what if Sphynx in wise old age,
Grown sick of snapping foolish people's heads,
And jealous for her riddle's proper rede, —
Jealous that the good trick which served the turn
Have justice rendered it, nor class one day
With friend Home's stilts and tongs and medium-ware,—
What if the once redoubted Sphynx, I say,
(Because night draws on, and the sands increase,
And desert-whispers grow a prophecy)
Tell all to Corinth of her own accord.
Bright Corinth, not dull Thebes, for Lais' sake,
Who finds me hardly grey, and likes my nose,
And thinks a man of sixty at the prime?
Good! It shall be! Revealment of myself!
But listen, for we must co-operate;
I don't drink tea: permit me the cigar!
First, how to make the matter plain, of course —
What was the law by which I lived. Let 's see:
Ay, we must take one instant of my life
Spent sitting by your side in this neat room:
Watch well the way I use it, and don't laugh!
Here's paper on the table, pen and ink:
Give me the soiled bit — not the pretty rose!
See! having sat an hour, I'm rested now,
Therefore want work: and spy no better work
For eye and hand and mind that guides them both,
During this instant, than to draw my pen
From blot One — thus — up, up to blot Two — thus —
Which I at last reach, thus, and here's my line
Five inches long and tolerably straight:

The Iliad: Book 21
Now when they came to the ford of the full-flowing river Xanthus,
begotten of immortal Jove, Achilles cut their forces in two: one
half he chased over the plain towards the city by the same way that
the Achaeans had taken when flying panic-stricken on the preceding day
with Hector in full triumph; this way did they fly pell-mell, and Juno
sent down a thick mist in front of them to stay them. The other half
were hemmed in by the deep silver-eddying stream, and fell into it
with a great uproar. The waters resounded, and the banks rang again,
as they swam hither and thither with loud cries amid the whirling
eddies. As locusts flying to a river before the blast of a grass fire-
the flame comes on and on till at last it overtakes them and they
huddle into the water- even so was the eddying stream of Xanthus
filled with the uproar of men and horses, all struggling in
confusion before Achilles.
Forthwith the hero left his spear upon the bank, leaning it
against a tamarisk bush, and plunged into the river like a god,
armed with his sword only. Fell was his purpose as he hewed the
Trojans down on every side. Their dying groans rose hideous as the
sword smote them, and the river ran red with blood. As when fish fly
scared before a huge dolphin, and fill every nook and corner of some
fair haven- for he is sure to eat all he can catch- even so did the
Trojans cower under the banks of the mighty river, and when
Achilles' arms grew weary with killing them, he drew twelve youths
alive out of the water, to sacrifice in revenge for Patroclus son of
Menoetius. He drew them out like dazed fawns, bound their hands behind
them with the girdles of their own shirts, and gave them over to his
men to take back to the ships. Then he sprang into the river,
thirsting for still further blood.
There he found Lycaon, son of Priam seed of Dardanus, as he was
escaping out of the water; he it was whom he had once taken prisoner
when he was in his father's vineyard, having set upon him by night, as
he was cutting young shoots from a wild fig-tree to make the wicker
sides of a chariot. Achilles then caught him to his sorrow unawares,
and sent him by sea to Lemnos, where the son of Jason bought him.
But a guest-friend, Eetion of Imbros, freed him with a great sum,
and sent him to Arisbe, whence he had escaped and returned to his
father's house. He had spent eleven days happily with his friends
after he had come from Lemnos, but on the twelfth heaven again
delivered him into the hands of Achilles, who was to send him to the
house of Hades sorely against his will. He was unarmed when Achilles
caught sight of him, and had neither helmet nor shield; nor yet had he
any spear, for he had thrown all his armour from him on to the bank,
and was sweating with his struggles to get out of the river, so that
his strength was now failing him.
Then Achilles said to himself in his surprise, "What marvel do I see
here? If this man can come back alive after having been sold over into
Lemnos, I shall have the Trojans also whom I have slain rising from
the world below. Could not even the waters of the grey sea imprison
him, as they do many another whether he will or no? This time let
him taste my spear, that I may know for certain whether mother earth

People Need Love
People need hope, people need loving
People need trust from a fellow man
People need love to make a good living
People need faith in a helping hand
Man has always wanted a woman by his side to keep him company
Women always knew that it takes a man to get matrimonial harmony
Everybody knows that a man whos feeling down wants some female sympathy
Gotta have love to carry on living
Gotta have love till eternity
People need hope, people need loving
People need trust from a fellow man
People need love to make a good living

If a mans in love and his woman wants the moon
Then hell it down if he can
Somebody who loves you and somebody who cares
Isnt that what youd call a friend?
Gotta have love to carry on living
You can have peace if you understand

Icculus lived at the top of the mountain, or at least everyone thought so, for no one had actually ever seen him. But they knew he existed, because they had the Helping Friendly Book. Icculus had given the Helping Friendly Book to the Lizards thousands of years earlier as a gift. It contained all of the knowledge inherent in the universe, and had
enabled the Lizards to exist in harmony with nature for years. And so they lived; until one day a traveler arrived in Gamehendge. His name was Wilson and he quickly became intrigued by the Lizards way of life. He asked if he could stay on and live in the forest; and the Lizards, who had never seen an outsider, were happy to oblige.
Wilson lived with the Lizards for a few years, studying the ways of the Helping Friendly Book, and all was well. Until one morning when they awoke and the book was gone. Colonel Forbin looked square in the mirror and dragged the blade across his cold creamed skin. He saw the tired little folds of flesh that lay in a heap beneath his eyes. Fifty-two years of obedient self-restraint, of hiding his tension behind a serene veil of composure. For fifty-two years he had piled it all on the back burner, and for fifty-two years it had boiled, frothing over in a turbulent storm inside of him. Goin Down Geneva
Goin down geneva, give me a helping hand
Im goin down geneva, give me a helping hand
Its not easy baby, living on the exile plan
Down on the bottom, down to my new pair of shoes
Down on the bottom, down to my new pair of shoes
Im down by the lakeside, thinking bout my baby blue
Last night I played a gig in salzburg, outside in the pouring rain
Last night I played a gig in salzburg, outside in the pouring rain
Flew from there to montreux and my heart was filled with pain
Look out my window, back at the way things are
Look out my window pane, back at the way things are
Just wonder how, how did things ever get this far
Vince taylor used to live here, nobodys ever heard of him
Vince taylor used to live here, but nobodys heard of him, aint that a shame
Just who he was, just where he fits in
He was goin down geneva. give him helping hand
He was goin down geneva, give him helping hand
It wasnt easy living on the exile plan
Vince taylor used to live here, nobodys even heard of him
Vince, vince taylor lives here, nobodys even heard of him
Just who he was, just where he fits in
Just who he was, just where he fits in

God’s Helping Hand
Let The Lord help you today, to find the path of His favored Way,
God’s Way unto abundant Life, the way above the grief and strife.
The helping hand of The Lord, will intervene when He’s implored,
As men seek God’s helping hand, in ways we cannot understand.
God’s helping hand, full of Grace, can help you any time or place,
When you truly desire to live for Him, in this world of darkened sin.
God wants to lead us in His Light, on a path that is pure and right,
So all men can come to know, that He’s a God who loves them so.
God’s hand above is lifted friend, for pending Judgment in the end,
Judgment that’s not destined for, all those men who love The Lord.
For God’s helping hand truly is, His heavenly guide to earthly bliss,
Anchored in The Savior’s Love, sent from The Spirit of God above.
God’s guidance is available to all, leading to Grace from man’s fall,
Where we can meet at the cross, The One who died for all the lost,
Christ who was pierced for you, so you can seek His Guidance too.
Where from the cross of Calvary, Jesus Christ will guide to Eternity.
Jesus Christ who died for all of us, now lives so we can put our trust,
In The One who died for man’s sin, so eternally we can live with Him.
Through God you can be assured, you will find life in Christ our Lord,
For the moment you come to Christ, God shall grant you Eternal Life.

Sharing the world love
Sharing the world love is what we all need to do
This is why I am writing this poem from me to you
There are some people in the world waiting for it to appear
The drunken man needs it rather than being intoxicated with beer
Now let’s talk about some places of the world starting with France
When I went to France I once met a man called lance
I now it sounds stupid how it wouldn’t happen but bear with me
Now let me tell you but lance was blind so we all know he could see
And because of that people said that lance would never love
And that finding someone who could love him would be tough
But I went out about Paris with him spreading the word of his personality
And by the end of the week he found someone despite his disability
Now I think I’ll move on to when I went to Italy and to the capital Rome
Back to the capital of Christianity and where the pope sits on his throne
Where I found a young hopeless catholic by the name of Paul Dove
Who like the others I will tell you of, had a lot of trouble with love
He’d had relationships before but not like his last
He’d loved her and proposed but she rejected him and left him very fast
He felt like his life had just collapsed around him that he had nothing left
But onwards he just managed to keep to going and the rest of his life he kept
But it was to much in the end the went to a high spot to end it
And whilst he was there he was shocked to see at the corner of the building where I sit
I said do you really want to jump off her and so we sat and talked
I don’t know where he is know but I know away from a messy end he walked
And then in my travels I decided id travel to Barcelona
Once again by myself still as a loner
I straight away headed to the beach and whilst I was there I saw trouble
There was a woman drowning losing oxygen almost on her last bubble
Automatically I swam out to save her a bring her back to shore
And when id dived to save her a brought her back up she looked in awe
She looked at me and said I didn’t know there where men like you left
And those are the first words I heard when we met
And she said let me reward you properly when we get back to shore
Little did I know she was a 20 euro whore
She got out of the ocean took me back to the house and stripped to the nude
But I couldn’t do it so I left with the words im not in the mood
And that’s when my journey brought me back home to my England
Where the people are happy whilst the men drink and the youth make a new band
And this is where I felt different as if there was something her for me that Ive now found
And there she was straight in my face and she was speaking her mind rather loud
And I stopped I watched waiting to speak with her

Prayer To The Helping Hand...
Long, narrow halls breed echo
or do they reach out to the walls,
beckoning their dormant ego's
to assist its fading call
And, everyone needs a helping hand -
every now and again.
Mighty Oaks cast shade and romance,
or do they call on Mother Nature
for feed and drink, to enhance
it's gift of prompting Rapture;
And, everyone needs a helping hand -
every now and again.
La Tour Eiffel stands like deity,
or does its spherical point engage
on its graphic, empirical history,
based on human intrigue for the 'strange';
And everyone needs a helping hand -
every now and again.
There was this old woman praying
over the bedside of a young New Yorker,
her black stringed beads awakened him, saying,
your Heart problems are this day.... over.
'And everyone needs a helping hand',
said the lucky, man 'I am '!

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm... As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.
