Amazing Grace Sonnet
I heard the song; Amazing Grace,
This song resounds deep in my heart
and happy tears pour down my face,
You made me Yours, set me apart.
I was in chains, but now I'm free,
I was a slave to sin and fears,
lost at the bottom of the sea,
You picked me up and whipped my tears.
With You, I'll walk a few more steps,
To know You, God, is grace alone,
I'll put my feet in Your footsteps
until I hear, My Child, come home.
And then I'll sing, Amazing Grace,
With Him at Home, at my New Place.
