You Betrayed My Trust
When I heard the news,
I got all confused,
I didn't know how to take it,
You said we were friends,
I trusted you,
But you betrayed my trust,
You lied,
I thought you trusted me,
But I was wrong,
For all you told me,
Was lies,
It hurt,
I don't know what I'll do,
A friend like you,
Is hard to find,
For now I don't know
Who to trust,
You've mixed me up forever,
Is everyone like you,
Will they laugh and tell,
Or are there good people,
Whom I can trust,
And can respect,
I'm not so sure,
So I can't try,
It'll be a while,
Before I can trust again,
But I'll know just when,
The time is right.
