there
where the years
have fallen
like autumn leaves
he waits,
where
shadows lengthen
where
existence throbs
with predatory evil
time takes
parts of the self,
autumn brings
leaf-fall, desolation
in nature then waiting
fragile
vulnerable
where justice
maimed
tortured
screams “no! ”
distant
light
on the long
path
tremulous
among
the passing winds,
heavy doors,
turning keys
a palpable
menace
leaving him
here,
man in shadow
longing
for years locusts
have ravaged
here the
man opens his
true self
to pulsate
with a warriors heart
shadows slowly
withdraw
the warrior
