When It Storms

The thunder is a metaphor of the frustration I feel.

The rain – my tears.

The way the winds rip through the trees and destroys pieces of a living being –
just as I rampage in a whirl-wind breaking the spirit of myself and of the ones I love.

When the storm subsides, I cry no more.
My clouds have exhausted themselves.

Although the sun breaks through,
I am left with the guilt of being so harsh
of lashing out…

At the end of the storm,
I find a calm,
but not the peace I was hoping to find.
