When a Wounded Heart is Set Free
When a wounded heart is set free
Doth it bring sorrow or joy?
Sorrow for what cometh to an end
Or joy for what the future holds
A pocketful of mixed emotions
Laced with intangible queries of the mind
Sorting through the excess rubble
Leaving all the questions of the heart behind
For when a wounded heart is set free
Tis more than one way to view the possibilities
Daunting embers of dismay
For a life that never shall be quite the same
Or perhaps the chance to fly somewhere
To heights once thought to be
Achievable only in your wildest dreams
