Wasted Beauty
She brags of her beauty
A beauty so physically visible
A perfect adornment
Of wonderful vegetation
Rocky and mountainous terrain
She brags of her beauty
Of year round weather so appealing
Supporting the growth
Of crops in variety
Found only in Eden
She brags of her beauty
With Wase rock
So gloriously arranged
The Rayfields and Lamingos
Are wonders beyond comprehension
She brags of her beauty
A communal of peoples
Of different origin
Yet in perfect unity
Dwelling and dominating peaceably
She brags of her beauty
And pride in hard work
Tilling and pruning
To feed her tenants and neighbours
With satisfactory delight
She brags and she boasts
She walks in stately strides
Yet it’s a beauty
Fast fading
A beauty dashed and drawn
I pray for my lover
Jos of the Plateau
That her beauty
May not be lost completely
Her pride restored my rest!
