Vales of the Mind - for C P Sharma
Come, walk with me
Through the vales of my mind,
Climb the high mountains
Of inspiration we will find.
For we are as lovers
As we learn to care
For the wisdom we seek
And the knowledge we share.
Though miles may divide us
Vast oceans so wide
The strong hand of friendship
Draws you to my side
To join the small band
Of lovers who grope
Through the morass of ignorance
For one glimmer of hope.
Poetry is our common language
Life’s rhythms its role
With philosophy our anchor
And truth as our goal
So, come walk with me, friend
Through the vales of our mind
And climb the high mountains
Of inspiration we will find.
