Upon The Opening of My Mind

At the poet wear you gain your identity,
someone takes it for eternity,
rips it along with your ego,
a ghost that haunts you no matter when you go,
the voices in the hall,
tell secrets and the tale of your epic fall,
its just gossip,
but you still trip,
feeling equal with the inferiors,
while being shunned by your superiors,
3 strikes your out,
no chance to learn when your about,
a whisper to the left,
a mumble of words under ones breath,
visions of the future blocked by the clouds of the past,
how long will this last,
time for a turn around,
hate stomped to the ground,
doubt is erased,
instead faith and hope is placed,
forget people like the last thing on your mind,
leave the pain behind,
start anew,
make sure you know that who is you
