Then Every Night Comes Back
Every night
I hear the dogs
howl & lonely locomotives whistlin'
The skies
infinite horizon
with a billion & a half stars
& a sun- & moon
& here I sit
stoned & alive
sitting in a field in Rexford
roastin' my spliff
thinkin about the deep end
5: 10am
soon the sun
is going to come up
& put me right out
for dancing with the night
That's what I get for being
such a clown
Turn around
into the sound
dug from the ground
buried then found
crowned
Now I'm king
