The way it is
World of bounty
wealth and riches
yet of emaciation
penury and destitution
world of peace
serenity and azure
yet of war
conflict and strife
world of sweet taste
honey comb and milk
yet of bitterness
tongue and bile
world of brightness
egret and morning sky
yet of sombre
tears and night
world of progression
forward and upward
yet of retrogression
backward and downward
world of existence
life and breath
yet of departure
grave and death
so I quiz: why is it
word and opposite?
And a voice: that's just
the way it is.
