Summer in the City
There's something about parks
- as though there's more air to breathe
More space to hope, dream, think, feel
But none for stress, isolation or fear
A safe zone for happiness
A vacuum of liberty
A state of honest beauty
A black box of great realizations
A place where we open our doors
and remove our walls
- like the man passing by with his shirt buttoned down and his jacket swinging from the relaxed shouder
A place where we're open for new impressions and unafraid to express ourselves
- like the girls with the notebooks, the boys with the cameras, on the benches, looking eagerly for things to live through
A place to meet
- like the strangers discussing weather, politics and fates and couples tangled toghether under the trees. Like the old loners seing themselves for the first time.
-As though Life
was finally given a place
to exist.
