Second thought (acrostic)

And, eight of every ten of us
Ponder not this thought often
Sometimes these wits may folly us
Easily through our reason
Under some class of prejudice
Discard, we other options
Over our eyes fall ego’s drape
Blinded and deaf we all turn
Enchanted live those who ignore
Things unimportant, undone
Rather they shower greater love
Against what they have taken
Yes! This is what now lack in us
A simple adaptation
Love thy lover without asking, and love him above reason
