Raft of Emotion
I’m trapped on a raft of emotion,
Surrounded by mountains of doom.
The clouds of despair have been gathering,
Over dark seas, of impending gloom.
But sat on a rock of happiness,
Is a saucer of joy and of hope.
And if I could wade over to it,
Or pull myself across on a rope.
I know that this raft of emotion,
Could become a boat filled with glee.
And the clouds of despair could all disperse,
But the only one who can change this is me.
