Only Sad Memories
Do you know why it’s so hard to let go?
Because it’s impossible to forget your memories
But if you think that’s hard to have happy memories
Imagine having only sad ones to hold on to
So many reminders of what I have lost
Only a fading hope to try and gain it back
Your name is everywhere
Reminders of you are constant
I had so many dreams of you
So much happiness
Then it was ripped away
And dreams became nightmares
I had so much love in my heart saved and waiting for you
But know that love is gone
Leaving behind only emptiness
A hole in my heart
I don’t get why I’m still waiting for you
I know you’ll never come
I know I’ll never hold you or see you or hear you
But you were gone so quickly
My heart was prepared for you to come
Not for you to leave
So when you left
A part of me did too
I was not ever ready to fight
To lose you but it happened
I should let go of my memories
think of reminders of you as hope for the future
That’s almost impossible my memories are truly sad yes
But Holding on to those memories are better then forgetting you completely
