O I've

lived a
life filled with
nights, all kinds
in rockers
held by wrinkling
hands, been in
and out of many
beds all sizes
shapes and
places, had
mothers and women
sing lullabyes
and drifted off
to a million different
dreams, tossed
turned and sweated
through them, all
of them even
the ones I don’t
ever mention. then
there was that
silver slivered night
that tip toed by
snuck in and cut
the rug
danced all the
night away to
no one and noth-
ing, I am
always searching
for that sliver
of silver, and you
can’t tell
me no.
