Not Yet Spring
It is not yet spring.
The birds return and build their nests,
the sun lingers long in the sky,
but it is not yet spring.
The crocus peek among the grass,
the daffodils raise their head,
but it is not yet spring.
For I am dormant still,
in my winter state.
I wait.
