Merry Christmas woop-de-doo!
It was the usual,
Wake me up at 6,
But you never thought,
Maybe we could just lie in,
All day all anyone could say,
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
You never though it might get annoying,
A bit too consistent,
No- everything has to be perfect,
To the knives and the forks,
The napkins in place.
We'd watch the same films,
You never thought it might be boring,
That maybe just for once it could be different,
Special, exciting,
Glowing, Magnifying.
No-Christmas is a tradition,
Always the same,
You expect so little,
But then when given too much,
Have to say thank-you for every square of chocolate.
So thanks.
Thanks a lot.
