Melody In All Things (connections With The Resonant Infections)
for the melody in all things
we continue to wait-for
we who are fortunate enough to delve into the pool of
assonance & euphony
want never to come out
like a high with no withdrawal
like a safe house with no enemy out about
like a poem without need for rhyme or rhythm
just a song that flushes through the veins
like the cleansing wondrous beauty of the
cool water
coasting over the layer of skin most exposed to the harsh damaging rays of the
relentless sun
like the electricity of the greatest orgasmic energy exploding from all places within &
shooting out into the rest of the atmosphere around
these tunes bear no face of the ugly humans that we all are
these tunes show only the hope of an end to our
self-destruction
of which we are certainly only bent upon
with what seems to be an ever growing speed &
yet this epic bears repeating
not the one you are reading
(for it cannot give an accurate picture, nor can it recite a perfect sound)
but this epic bears repeating
not the one that you are reading-
find it out in the world where in your most comfortable place
the sounds that you alone sing to
the sounds that you embrace
not enough can be said about our ability to create
these resonant infections of which we can all
relate.
