Maradona as Coach Maradona
I can't see Argentina's future in this world cup. I am writing this poem being a fan of Maradona and Argentina football team.
Now you an old lion
Still a hunter
But don’t go for hunting in groups,
You are preparing others to hunt for you.
You have kept beard during the world cup
But that can’t hide the anxiety and pride of your face.
Standing beside the side line
You watch the football of Argentina
With conscious long wait
For another Argentine goal.
Tevez, Milito, Veron can’t ignore your presence,
Even Messi follows your shadow of football magic,
Can they uplift the cup
That you once held in your heavenly hands?
Mexico, Germany, Korea –
Tough opponents everywhere
Can your soccer boys beat them all
To progress in this tournament?
Key of future has the answer,
As for now,
All I can say,
Good luck, ‘Coach Maradona’!
