In Love Alone
And i saw pebbles
out of which love carved
left all alone
All this while
you are not mine
yet am afraid to
loose you
I have always fought
soo hard to imprison
your very presence
yet my fears fought
for your freedom
And in love alone
water becomes thirsty
words become dump
songs get sour throat
listening ignores
patience irrritates
strength tamed
sight folds into blind
moist clouds rain harmattan
the sea a naked desert
mountains coil into valleys
laughter bleeds tears
life births premature death
and strong winds freeze
Alone, in love alone
the steps beneath
my feet trembles
dreams of decay
visits my bones
and my blistering
future time
embraces a shadowy
darkness
Alone, in love alone
i cry out
my mortal grief
