Happier Days
I’m in love with memories
Of times that were better,
But remembering these times
Makes me wish I was dead.
I remember no actions,
Just thoughts and feelings,
And I think about these
To get out of my head.
And I’m not sure why
I get feelings of sorrow
From the happiest times
In my short, empty life.
But I still love those memories
Of times I was happy,
Times when I begged
For sorrow and strife.
