Funeral

The last chapter
none wish to witness
when, they are alive.

Wails of the beloved ties
rites of belief held
accompany the dead
along the solemn trail.

Mysterious indeed this visitor
even flowers of stupendous beauty
appear sullenly shrunken
when in garlands they are attached strongly.

I wish one day
before I die
this funeral of mine
I want to witness
wholeheartedly,
so I may leave gladly
knowing what satisfaction
my funeral prepares for me.
