Flyball
1.
On the way to flyball we passed an incomplete building, the attached poster advertised a forthcoming retirement home, opposite a graveyard.
2.
At flyball the owners debated, over black coffee and bacon sandwiches, how best to improve their dogs’ diets.
3.
Flyball was a success; our dog ran well, so we treated ourselves to lunch while he waited in the car.
4.
During lunch a couple sat next to us. The woman told her partner to order anything, then complained about the price of the bill.
5.
We arrived home exhausted and fell asleep. The dog lingered, waiting for us to wake.
6.
That evening we had friends over. The dog threw up on the carpet, so we shooed him outside with a curse.
