In a shopping cart
That makes you smile or cry
Though every word of happiness
Is mostly dry-bone lie
Happy birthday
Merry Christmas
Words of comfort?
They seem vicious
Memories hidden
Emotion concealed
A lock on the past
My lips are sealed
Stuck behind bars
Keeping contained
Feelings for something cannot be explained
Dare not to feel
Dare not to see
