Deftly Running

Running from life
trying to keep up
with the Lord
of death.
Waiting for
a line to grab
a hold of
deftly,
stealthily,
I stalk death
waiting
for the appropriate
time to grab it
by the tail
Death cannot see
nor can it hear
but it can feel
It can feel breaths,
presences,
and people
behind it
so to stalk death
one must
be fearless
and one must
be sneaky
and fast
So I am deftly
running after
death
