Day's like today
When only memories remain
Oblivion seems so near
As entropy finally catches up
All the cracks begin to show
Days like today
Make the beginning seem so slow
And one step removed
Is ponderance following closely
Thinking of forgotten dreams
Days like today
Mark the absence
Of temporal comfort
And all the simple pleasures
A life can give and take
Days like today
Are fresh and new
Offering only hope
To the old anarchist
Anxious to see an exodus of faith
