Day by day
I walk away
Every time I see your face
Now and then
It seems to me
That maybe I should
Just go up and say
Tell me, is there any chance
Maybe someday
I’ll get that dance
And tell me
Do I have a chance?
All that I can ask
Is for this dance…
I imagine
It would go this way
You’d look at me
And you would say
Maybe someday
You’d get a chance
When you ask me for a dance
I think you might have a chance
Just come ask for a dance
Tell me, is there any chance
Maybe someday
I’ll get that dance
And tell me
Do I have a chance?
All that I can ask
Is for this dance…
You turn to me
And then you say
Let us dance
