Close To You
There's nothing like a country lane
That winds thru fields and meadows,
Where as you walk the trees reach out
And kiss you with their shadows.
The scent of nature everywhere
Of grass and then of flowers,
Like the spell of magic potion
Clings to you for hours.
Reluctantly, I must return,
To concrete and to streets,
When all the things that bring me joy
are here,
Where man and nature meets.
