Bear Week on the Cape

bear week on quaint provintial town,
burly masses corrugate in the reeds of accordian coast,
a bell chimes through the gritting shutter teeth.
calls to the ships at sea
fog off our eyes;
fog trapsing through alleyways,
fog in curious shops,
fog like a lost mariner that haunts these ambiguous gutters.
Looking for bears through host of bobbing shoulders,
neons and light rollers collies on long boards
SIlence vibrates between the curbside and our hearts
you cant pick or shame at the fact they were happy
on nights like tonight on a provintial town
