Ballad for a Macho Man
A ballad for a macho man
Who met an untimely end
Who sang the song of the swan
When himself he could least defend
Much happiness he spread in his life
And other things too, alas
Pleasing many a maid & many a wife
On all points of the compass
Four letter words he laughed off
'Sin' had only three
'No' with two he just cast off
And 'O', for him, was glee
Abed his fervour ne'er ebbed a bit
He was active morning to night
Then full of fresh determination & grit
He was ready for the real fight
Oh what a glorious man he was
Never have we seen a better one
Every lady's prayer had this clause
Asking God to please get her one
Then one night he met his equal
And there is little left to say
Friends still await a triumphant sequel
From him and her who passed away
