Bab (because Am Black)
Hatred is a tree
whose fruits;
segregation & racism like
canker worm has rotten
the human society.
being black in some
quarters is equated to
failure,
In America
its Nigger Boy or John
a Russian calls you
orange and Banana peels;
whatever that means
Italian don't believe a
black man is better than
a monkey.
And so my mental sky
was clouded so early
in life by negativities.
At age thirty a black man
Is still been addressed
As "Boy".
At school
I was taught to be
an inhabitant of the
third world.
Hence am third class
in God's earth.
They theme my way of
life fetish;
when am not watchful,
they stole the gods of my
fathers.
I'm being called Barbaric;
But Lord knows
my black mind never initiated
slave trade.
Beneath the watchful
eyes of the sun
my sisters were dishonoured.
What become of my father
My mother knew not till date
