A Lesson from Hopeless Thoughts

A silent call, a desperate cry
A worried smile, asks why,
It has been put through such mounts of pain,
Without any breaks of relief rain.

A troubled soul, a miserable mind,
A disturbed heart just wants to find,
Somewhere, somehow to be set free,
From anguish, depression and anxiety.
A shattered body, a bruised soul,
A helpless girl, knows she isn’t alone,
Yet her mind and heart are not satisfied,
For within herself, she cannot confide.

I am a stranger, a stranger to you all,
You will never know the depth of my call,
I am living in the past still, as you may see,
Hence, here I am; stuck, making this plea.
My deen is the candle, from darkness to light,
It’s what gives meaning and a human’s sight,
Yet despite acknowledging all of this, I still do not know,
How, out of my depression I might one day grow.

But, think not, dear friend, that I’ve completely failed,
As around my childhood, I’ve driven and sailed,
My thoughts have taught never to regret,
Just move on from those times and deeply repent…
