43rd Street

As I gaze upon the towering building,
suddenly it’s as if I’m looking down from it’s ledge.

My legs turn numb and it’s as if gravity is pulling me into a lean,
I stare at the concrete just feet from my vision.

Yet somehow I feel the hollow wind of a solitary rooftop,
the massive structures begin to bend in my direction.

A driving fear floods my body,
dizzy, confused and terrified.
