Our winters never it snowed

Autumn’s leafs never yellowed

No longer days overshadowed

In merriment we often wallowed

Temperament’s high strong now mellowed

Sweet wine of live once flowed

Fruits ripened we once sowed

Together for us time slowed

Streets walked seldom narrowed

Gone were the days thought sorrowed

Joy and laughter once bestowed

Our time was simply borrowed

Things one could never forebode

High was the price of my heavy load

Journeyed I down lonesome rocky road
