Because You Have Given Me Love
We’re sauntering slowly
In the exciting evening
Exchanging a mystical kiss
Soft moonlight avenue bliss;
I turn to you when the world is cruel,
And you make everything
Exhilarating and new,
You pull me through
Periods of depression
Unanswered questions,
A life bogged down
In unhappy confusion.
I can make it through
Any falling apart scene
That mysterious forces
Have scripted for me,
I can shake off emotional debris
That crumbling walls of loneliness
Have left on me
Because you have given me love
That survives and thrives
In the midst of every despairing sadness.
