I don’t want
To let this time slip by
Like a mountain slide
Or let you evaporate
Like summer mist,
Continue to be haunted by
A distant, irretrievable kiss.
Let me find you this spring
Laughing among the lilacs,
Dancing among the daisies,
Smiling with the apple trees
With your lovely yellow skirt
Revealing and sunning
Your gorgeous, sexy knees.
Your eyes, your thighs,
Your ponytail in the sunlight,
Your essence of perfumed sweetness,
Everything about you
Makes me high,
I can’t let you walk away,
I have to be in your life,
You have to redeem mine
From lonely years
Alienated from the sublime.
