In Your Heart
I haven't been myself.
Since I fell in love with you,
my whole world changed.
I rediscovered the dreams
I'd hidden in a drawer
and found my priorities rearranged.
My friends barely recognized me
after I met you;
for as our love deepened and grew,
the hope and aspirations
I'd cloistered away
blossomed anew.
And it's my undying hope
that the bond we forged
shall ever remain
for I've placed my hope for tomorrow
in your heart.
I never want to be myself again.
