Is This My Rainy Day?
It seems as if that foggy mist has
Turned into a rainy downpour;
Reflections of Purple, Brown, and Blue fill
The puddles-
Splashing me awake in the face-a car
Drives through it fast-
And i realize that that fateful day has arrived;
Above me a Birds Nest hidden in an old Oak-
A mother Bird is sitting on her eggs-
My memory floods over me...
And all i can remember is:
'Some gifts are given and some are saved
Until a rainy day'-
Protesting to this wrong-i say: i am not my Fathers gift, Rider;
