Colleagues
We have been friends for many years
and working colleagues for most of them.
Today we're celebrating a friends promotion
and that happens every now and then.
We found ourselves sitting and talking together
about mutual friends and past events.
She was giving her opinion on a current situation,
and I agreed that she was making good sense.
She then leaned over and whispered quietly,
for the first time I noticed the texture of her skin.
I caught the aroma of her hair and perfume,
and something special was pulling me in.
I never once imagined us in this situation,
she paused as though she felt something too.
She pulled away and looked into my eyes,
and we didn't know what else we should do.
She smiled as though something should happen,
her lips opened to reveal the tip of her tongue.
I became nervous and overwhelmed by her presence,
but somehow knew this couldn't be wrong.
Her temptation was too much, so I kissed her,
and even though it only lasted a short while,
the experience brought all manner of stirring emotions,
and she gave me such a tremendous smile.
'Wow! Where did that come from? ' she whispered.
As she relaxed her hand glanced pass my knee.
'I'm sorry, ' she said, 'I didn't realise the extent of your desires
and how they've also had an effect on me.
Shall we discreetly leave this celebration party,
we've got things to finish with utmost haste.
We can discuss the how's and now's later
when we've put our desires in place.'
